Some may be directed by your chain of command (Microsoft Excel and PowerPointcourses), and the remainder is voluntary (MNP, E-Learning, college courses, etc.). Sailors are advised to seek out mentors, including your Command Master Chief, Senior Enlisted Advisor, Leading Chief Petty Officer, Leading Petty Officer andCommand Career Counselor, and to make use of your Navy College Virtual Education Center (VEC) or OCONUS EducationOffice's vast resources.
