The board also includesthe MAX1555 1-Cell Li battery charger for battery management. The form factor is a small 0.9in by 2.0in dualrow header footprint that is compatible with breadboardsand off-the-shelf peripheral expansion boards. The boardalso includes a variety of peripherals, such as a micro SDcard connector, 6-axis accelerometer/gyro, RGB indicator LED, and pushbutton. This platform provides poweroptimized flexible for quick proof-of-concepts and earlysoftware development to enhance time to market.Features MAX32666 Microcontroller Dual Arm Cortex-M4F, 96MHz 1MB Flash Memory 560KB SRAM 3 x 16KB Cache Bluetooth 5 Low Energy Radio High-Speed USB 2.0 Three QSPI Master/Slave Three I2C Master/Slave Three UARTS SD/SDIO 3.0 1-Wire Master 48 GPIO 8 Input, 10-Bit ADC MAX1555 1-Cell Li Battery Charger Charge from USB On-Chip Thermal Limiting Charge Status Indicator Expansion Connections Breadboard Compatible Headers 10-Pin Cortex Debug Header Micro USB Connector Micro SD Card ConnectorOrdering Information appears at end of data sheet. MAX32666FTHR ApplicationPlatformQuick StartApply power to the MAX32666FTHR using the USB cable. The blue LED (D4) begins to blink indicating that the boardis transmitting a BLE beacon. Observe the beacon usingEvaluates: MAX32666any BLE capable phone or tablet. The beacon appears asMAX32666FTHR Beacon. The source code for the beacon firmware can be found inthe Maxim Low Power Arm Micro Toolchain.Figure 1. MAX32666FTHR ApplicationPlatformBattery ChargerThe MAX1555 charges a single-cell Li battery froma USB source. When the MAX1555 thermal limits arereached, the charger does not shut down, but simplyreduces charging current by 17mA/ C above a die temperature of 110 C. The USB charge current is set to100mA (max). This allows charging from both poweredEvaluates: MAX32666and unpowered USB hubs with no port communicationrequired. Refer to the MAX1551/MAX1555 data sheetand the data sheet for your battery to ensure compatibility.Expansion HeadersNote: All port pins labeled Pn n are capable of GPIO orPWM with timer or pulse train engine.Table 1. Two types of cross-platform applications In practice, we encounter two main types of cross-platform apps: cross-platform native and cross-platform hybrid. Cross-platform native leverages on better native application performance compared to hybrid because the code is compiled into native controls. Therefore, it feels and runs like a native app.

2.1.1 Stable Platform Systems In stable platform type systems the inertial sensors are mounted on a platform which is isolated from any external rotational motion. In other words the platform is held in alignment with the global frame. This is achieved by mounting the platform using gimbals (frames) which allow the platform freedom in
