Parents & Actors,FAPA is pleased to present auditions for our FAPA Company. The FAPA Company (formerly known as theJTF Troupe) will be an auditioned group of 25-30 students who are interested in intently developing their“triple threat” skills as actors, singers and dancers. The Company will meet weekly on Fridays from5:30-7:30pm to not only rehearse a show for presentation at the Junior Theater Festival in January 2017,but also to develop and hone their musical theater skill set. Each week we will focus on a differentdiscipline, whether singing, dance or acting and we will work to see this group grow as performers andgrow as an ensemble over their time together. The FAPA Company is open to students ages 11-17 (rising grades 7th-12th). Auditions will be held March12th at FAPA. Auditioning students do NOT have to be current FAPA students.we welcome any and allarea students to join us. Students also do not need to be enrolled in another FAPA environment toparticipate. Students should prepare one minute of a musical theater song with accompaniment or sheetmusic (CD, ipad, phone or other device is fine) and should be prepared to do cold readings and a shortmovement audition. The show we anticipate performing at JTF is Singing’ In The Rain, Jr., although rights have not becurrently released. The scripts are anticipated to be released mid-Spring and we will officially cast theshow from within the Company members. All students cast in the Company will be cast in the JTF showas well. **Please do not audition for the FAPA Company if you are not able or do not plan to attendJTF in January 2017.**This will be a very small group of approximately 25-30 students, ages 11-18. It is our intention to provide asafe, nurturing environment for the students auditioning so that they feel successful and empoweredregardless of whether or not they are cast in the final Company. Auditioning is a vital part of the process ofparticipating in any theatrical experience, so we want to help your child have as positive an experience aspossible even in the midst of what is somewhat a nerve-wracking process. We will maintain a calm, positive, encouraging environment on Saturday; being mindful of the students’ nerves and differing levelsof preparedness. Please let me know if you have any questions. Please read the following packet very carefully and notethe attendance policy. Being cast in the FAPA Company is an honor and a privilege and a commitment oftime and energy.please make sure you and your child understand this commitment before auditioning. We look forward to seeing some amazing auditions on March 22nd.
