This PVC productis quiet, doesn’t scratch and has a weepsystem that removes water from theoperating area of the sash.Nail Fins:Nail fins are a standard feature for thiswindow. The corners are closed whichallows for full perimeter flashing. As anoption, Gerkin will remove the nail fin formasonry and subframe installations.Deadbolt Lock:Our Self-latching deadbolt lock is a level10 forced entry rated deadbolt and offersautomatic locking when the window isclosed. This is a great security feature.Interlocks:The use of jamb and mullion interlockshelps to reduce deflection and creates asnug fit due to reduced movement awayfrom the weather seals. The structure ofthe window is enhanced and air infiltrationis reduced.Anti-lift Stop:Gerkin installs a security feature that won’tallow the sash to be removed while thedeadbolt is in the locked position. Thewindow must be fully open prior to beingable to remove the sash.Dual Weatherstripping:This window features heavy wool pileweatherstripping with a Mylar fin onboth sides of the sash. This means thatwhether there are negative or positivepressures on the window, there will neverbe a disconnection of weatherstrip, thusgiving Gerkin one of the tightest sliders onthe market.Weeps With Baffles:Gerkin includes an open cell foam insideeach weep hole, which restricts snow, dirt,insects and other debris from entering thewindow through the weeps.Rollers:These rollers are designed to last for yearswith trouble free operation. Our slidersare among one of the easiest windows tooperate with a maximum operating forceof 18 pounds on the largest window wemake. The rollers also offer a secondaryheight adjustment to help with sightlineadjustments after installation.Extruded Screen Frames:The strength of extruded screen framesis a major maintenance cost advantagefor Gerkin over easily damaged rollform screens.
