Term 2, wehave rebuilt student reports, anand our goal is bythe end of the year, students will be participatingmore in the student reporting process, withstudents giving feedback on their own learning.Students will not bring home hard copy portfoliothis year. The parental portal of SENTRAL will beactivated. Parents will receive a password in thecoming weeks. Parents will then have access tosome elements of your child’s learning andattendance data including access samples of yourchild/ren’s learning at home via the portal. Thiswill enable parents to have samples of work in amore timely fashion in the future.Our goal is to provide parents and students moreopportunities for formal feedback on learning.SENTRAL will allow parents to have a window intoyour child/ren’s learning as well as access to otheraspects of the school such as, school policies andnewsletters, in a secure environment.Our school is a recognised sustainable school. Theuse of SENTRAL will enable Nilma to be moreproactive on minimising paper usage, and moreefficient and resource smart.We will support families and parents to be able toaccess all information through a parent informationsession in the near future.PARENT/TEACHER DISCUSSIONSThe Parent Teacher Discussions will be held in thelast week of this term as part of our reporting toparents on student achievement.Parents will receive Student Reports on Tuesday21st June and then attend Parent TeacherDiscussions on Thursday 23rd June between 9.00amand 5.00pm.Parents will be able to access the student DigitalPortfolios too.All children will be required to attend school on thisday. Attached to the newsletter is a booking formwhich will need to be returned by Wednesday 1stJune. Confirmation of times will be sent back toparents on Thursday 16th June.FOUNDATION 2017—INFORMATION EVENINGMonday 20th June at 7.00pm will be the FoundationInformation Evening at school. Could currentparents with children starting in 2017 please collectan enrolment pack from the Office.
