Always install the adapter fitting into the enginethe sender mounting locations.first and then tighten the captive fitting (Diagram 1) on the capillary tube to avoid twistingthe tubing.

3. Remove the warning light sender and install theproper adapter fitting into the engine block. Ifthe proper adapter fitting was not included withthe gauge, obtain the CP7555 (NPT threads)adapter set.4. Insert the capillary tube tip into the adapter’s holeand then tighten, with moderate pressure only, the captive fitting (Diagram 1) into the adapter.Do not over tighten. Sealing tape or compoundmay be used on either connection.5. Complete the mounting of the gauge.6. Refill the fluid level to its normal level.7. Start the engine and observe the fitting connections for leaks and the gauge for properoperation. For Electrical Gauges:1. Drain the fluid level in the system to below thesender’s mounting location, which is normallythe factory’s warning light sender location.2. Remove the warning light sender and insulatethe end of the sender wire. Install the properadapter fitting (not included) into the engineblock, if needed. Obtain either the CP7553(NPT threads) or CP7573 (metric threads)adapter set, if an adapter is needed.3. Install the gauge’s sender into the warning lightsender’s mounting location in the engine block.4. Run a length of 18-gauge insulated copperwire from the gauge’s mounting location to thesender’s mounting location.5. Attach the 18-gauge wire onto the top of thegauge’s sender.6. Facing the back of the gauge, the connectionpost on the right is for the 12-volt power, thecenter post is for the ground connection and theleft post is for the sender connection. After youhave mounted the gauge, connect the sender7.8.9.10.wire to the left connection post as shown inDiagram 2. Do not over tighten.Connect one end of another length of 18-gaugeinsulated copper wire to the center connectionpost, as shown in Diagram 2 and the other endof the wire to a good ground source.Connect a third length of 18-gauge insulatedcopper wire to the right connection post asshown in Diagram 2, and the other end ofthe wire should be connected to the fuse boxwhere the wires will receive 12 volts of powerwhenever the ignition key is in a START, ON orACCESSORY position.Refill the fluid level to its normal level.Start the engine and observe the fitting/senderconnections for leaks and the gauge for properoperation.TROUBLESHOOTINGIf your electrical gauge reads lower than you wouldexpect, check all electrical connections, particularlygrounding connections. Any poor connection willincrease electrical resistance resulting in a falselow reading.Diagram 2NUTWIRECLOSED-EYE CONECTORGROMMETFLAT WASHERMAKE SURE CRIMP

Voltmeter Voltmeter A simple DC voltmeter can be constructed by placing a resistor (R s), called a multiplier,

and the movement is proportional to the voltage measured. Digital Voltmeter is a voltage sensitive device which measures AC or DC voltage and displays the value directly in numeric form instead of pointer deflection [2]. Microcontroller can be used to develop a digital voltmeter. The Ardui

a. Digital Voltmeter AN/GSM-64A (fig. 1-1) is a five-digit digital voltmeter used to measure dc voltages in three ranges from 0.0001 volt to 1000.0 volts, and dc voltage ratio (with 1 volt to 10 volts reference input) in three ranges from 000,000 to 11999.9

This voltmeter is a 4 1/2 digit panel meter for applications which require a compact, quality DC voltmeter. This model uses dual-slope conversion. Additionally, it provides automatic zeroing before each reading and does so with a minimum of parts for increased reliability. The voltme

8 Electronic Projects Project – Simple Voltmeter In this project, you will learn how to build a simple voltmeter, which is a device that detects and measures the level of voltage in a circuit. Voltmeters are very useful and are present in all multimeters, an essential tool for any engineer or technician. In this

4. Probable Cause: Check engine brake enable signal. Correction: Disconnect 015709 (017378) harness from 017179 module. Start the engine. Turn the engine brake switch OFF. Place the positive probe of the voltmeter at the terminal of the BROWN wire and the negative probe on ground (Fig. 8). Increase engine RPM to rated engine speed. The voltmeter
