The layout of the deck and the inside makes this boat a superb family cruiser. Theway it is set up also makes it very suitable for single handed or short handed racing. This boat sailslike a dream and offers all the comforts you can ask for.Brokers commentsGalatea is a beautiful and very well-kept Swan 48. It was originally designed and configured to beperfectly suitable for both competitive racing and comfortable cruising. The rig is taller thanstandard and the set up of winches, line clutches and the removable carbon bow sprit makes thisboat suitable to sail in an efficient way with a small crew or even single handed.Galatea has been continuously maintained and upgraded by caring owners to meet more moderncomfort and performance requirements. Forward of the mast bulkhead is two bunk bed cabins and a heads /shower cabin.Commissioned in June 2000, mainly sailed in the Baltic sea, except for the Rolex cup season inSardinia in 2004. In late 2004 Galatea was sailed back to Stockholm and put on the hard for a longrest at Nautor’s Service Center in Stockholm. The second owner started her up in 2011 after 6years on the hard and updated her considerably. From 2011 to 2014 she was family sailed duringsummertime in the Baltic sea area and stored well covered on land during winter months. Her thirdowner bought her and transferred her to Norwegian registry during the fall of 2014. VAT is paid inNorway. She spent the winter 2014/2015 as well as 2016/2017 covered by a custom made 3 piececanvas and has spent remining winters indoor at Vindö Marin AB. When stored outside, a dehumidifier and electric heaters have been running 24/7.
