Comfort ventilationby SystemairComfort ventilation describes the ventilation systems most oftenused in hospitals, hotels, schools, and offices. The purpose of thisventilation system is to create a healthy and comfortable indoorclimate. Geniox is designed in flexible modules. This givesyou the freedom to choose precisely the features that you need.4systemair

As a rule of thumb, ventilationaccounts for 40% of a building’senergy consumption. That meansthere is a significant potentialfor improvement. Geniox aims toexploit that potential and reducethe percentage. Geniox air handlingunits feature the most energyefficient motors. The unit employsthe latest advances in energyrecovery technology, and the casingis designed to reduce any energyloss in the process. The design program SystemairCADwill always inform you of theprojected energy class of yourchosen unit. In SystemairCAD, youalso have the possibility to calculatethe lowest energy consumptioncombined with the best possiblefan for VAV operation by applyingalternative operating points.SystemairCAD calculations arecertified by Eurovent. Modular construction. Fully customised. Freedom of choice. Robust design. High air tightness. High efficiency. Easy to select, order, and install. Safe and precise delivery.systemair5

Geniox functionsThe plug fan has the impeller fitted with airfoiled blades to obtain the highest possible efficiency. The fan is a single inlet, free-blowingfan where the unit casing acts as fan housing. The plug fan has a static efficiency of up to75%. The plug fan can be supplied with ECmotor (IE5), PM motor (IE4), or AC motor (IE3).Fan impeller and motor are statically anddynamically balanced. The rotary heat exchanger is available in threevariants: Condensation, sorption hybrid and sorption heat exchanger. Generally, the rotary heatexchanger has a high efficiency from 75% to87% depending on operating conditions. It canrecover moisture and is the heat exchanger thatrequires the least space. The sorption hybridexchanger recovers more moisture, and therefore contributes to the humidification of the supply air. The sorption exchanger dehumidifies theair more, making it particularly suitable forde humidifying the outdoor air, for examplebefore cooling.avoided. There is no transfer of moisturebetween the two airflows. The plate heat exchanger is available in two variants: Cross flow and counter flow heat exchangers. Generally, the plate heat exchanger has ahigh efficiency. It has separated airflows, andthus the transfer of odours to the supply air isThe heating coil is used for heating the supplyair. The heating can be effected by hot water orcondensation of refrigerant. These coils consistof copper tubes and aluminium fins. Heatingcan also be effected by electricity. These coilsconsist of heating elements of stainless steeland have built-in safety control system. The cooling coil is used for cooling the supplyair. It can be effected by cold water or direct10systemairThe cross flow exchanger has an efficiency of upto 85% depending on air speed and unit size. Itis made of aluminium for comfort. The counter flow exchanger has a efficiency ofup to 90% and is supplied only in aluminium. The heat exchangers are fitted with by-pass forcapacity control and for frost protection, andhave a built-in drip tray with slope. The run-around coil heat exchangers have anefficiency of up to 80% depending on air speedthrough the coil, and are used, where the twoairflows must be kept completely separate, orwhere the airflows are in different places.evaporative refrigerant. A cooling coil for eva poration has the liquid distributor placed in theunit. These coils consist of copper tubes andaluminium fins. The change-over coil is basically a cooling coilfor cold water, which can also be used for heating by changing the water temperature fromcold to warm as required.

The heat pump is an integrated reversible heatpump system built into a unit section. Thesy stem consists of a reversible heat pump anda rotary heat exchanger that enables both heating and cooling. The unit is equipped with scrollcompressors, and cooling/heating capacity isstepless variable in the range 5-100%. Theheat pump is based on R-410A refrigerant. Theheat pump is equipped with a complete controlsystem. The humidifier is made as a complete unit, which includes humidification elements, trayand frame made of stainless steel AISI 304,circulation pump, irrigation regulation valves, overflow, bleed-off regulation valve, float valvefor controlling the water supply to the tray andvalve for emptying the tray. The function of thehumidifier is based on the natural process thatwater evaporates when air passes a wet surface. The humidifier can either be placed in thesupply air after a heating coil or used as indirectadiabatic cooling by placing it in the extract airbefore a heat exchanger. The panel filter is a basic filter class Coarse65% (G4) according to EN ISO 16890 with ashort building length. It is designed on pleatedfilter principle. The bag filter is a bag filter, which designprovides a large filter area. The filter has a longlifetime and thus good overall economy. The filter can be supplied in the filter classes Coarse65% (G4), ePM10 60% (M5), ePM2.5 50%(M6), ePM1 60% (F7), ePM1 75% (F8), ePM185% (F9), or CITY-FLO ePM1 60% (F7 City-Flo)according to EN ISO 16890. CITY-FLO ePM160% is a filter with particle and molecular filtration, specially designed for use in urban areasand areas with heavy traffic. Bag filters areavailable in 2 lengths; 520 and 640 mm.Metal filter. Class G2.Carbon filter. Carbon type CEX003 in acylindrical cartridge. The dampers comply with tightness class 4 Caccording to EN 1751:2014. The dampers havecounter rotating aerodynamically shaped damp-er blades made of aluminium, which ensure alow pressure loss when open. The sound attenuator is an absorption attenuatorwith baffles. It is used to reduce the sound powerlevel from the air handling unit to the duct system. Can be delivered for dry and wet cleaning.systemair11
