They say a busy lodge is a happy lodge but I’mabout ready for a rest. We have four Fellowcrafts now,all working diligently on their proficiencies. We will be doing a third degree for Vesper Lodge atour house on Tuesday April 28th at 7:30 P.M. We will behaving Wor. Ferrell in the East and Wor. Pesut in the Westfor the second section. Two other brothers are learningnew parts in the third degree second section. When westart doing our own degrees we will have alot of newfaces or at least have talented back ups for our regularofficers. One of the Steward’s chairs tried to disassembleit’s self last week. Wor. Ferrell took it to Redding Restoration to see if it could be repaired. They said theywould charge 65.00 to glue it back together but that itwasn›t worth the effort. We had three other chairs thatalso needed repair. Wor. Ferrell found a yard sale on thestreet behind our lodge that had six chairs for a total of 100.00. They are pecan and have cane backs. They arenice looking chairs so we got them. Four chairs withoutarms and two with arms. Now all our junior officers havegood sound chairs that they don’t have to worry aboutcollapsing. That’s about it from the “Oldest Chartered Lodge inCalifornia”.Greetings Nobles,It has been a quiet month up in the Intermountain areawith all of the wind, rain and snow. In spite of the weather,we had good attendance at our first Gin Fizz Breakfast forthe year on March 5th. The bad weather that day did keep afew people away; but that just meant more of those worldfamous beer batter pancakes and Adin Supply sausage forthose who braved the elements to help us support ShrineHospitals.Due to a conflict beyond our control, we had to changethe date of the April 23rd breakfast to the following Sunday, April 30th. The April 2nd and Mother’s Day, May 14th,breakfasts remain unchanged.Don’t forget the POTE’s visit to our area on Sunday,July 30th at the Fort Crook Masonic Hall in Fall River Mills.Further Details will be available next month.Charles Thomason, SecretaryFidelity #131Order of the Eastern StarMt.
