PURPOSEThe Honors and Award Reference Manual is a reference for guidelines, forms, procedures, sampledocuments and other tools that the Committee uses in its day to day operations. It ensures consistency inthe operation of the Committee and serves as an educational tool for new members. The H&A ReferenceManual is an internal document of the Committee and requires the approval of the Committee.

APPENDIX A-1: HONORS AND AWARDS - GENERALPrior to Board of Director’s approval, the Honors and Awards Committee shall revew allrecommendations for new awards to ensure that the wording of criteria is sufficiently specific as to clearlyestablish the purpose of the award, and to ensure that the wording does not conflict with existing awards.Further, the official version of the criteria, as established in the Rules of the Board, shall be the versionused in all ASHAE publications.The BOD shall confirm individuals recommended for the following honors and awards based on thefollow requirement:ASHRAE Hall of FameASHRAE Pioneers of the IndustryHonorary MemberF.
