CAPE History Syllabus ExtractThe discipline of History consists of three aspects – its content, its organisingprinciples, and its methods of enquiry. The CAPE History Syllabus seeks topromote these aspects of the historian’s craft and has been organisedaccordingly. Its content emphasises the historical experiences andrelationships of the peoples of the Caribbean and the Atlantic World.The selection, structure and content of themes and modules have beeninformed by a desire to promote an understanding of the historical as well asthe contemporary relationships among the nations and societies of the AtlanticWorld and other regions. The syllabus is arranged into two Units, each madeup of three Modules.
