Launched in 1860, HMS Warrior was the largest, fastest and most powerful ship of her day.Warrior was rescued in the 1980s, restored and brought back home to Portsmouth and is nowowned by Warrior Preserva%on Trust, an independent charity that receives no governmentfunding.2016 marks an incredibly important year for Warrior as we embark on our first major fundraising appeal in over ten years. Revealing the Secrets of Shipwrights and Sailors will deliver essen%al repairs safeguarding both the ship and ongoing public access for her 300,000 annual visitors. At the same %me, it will open up access to our unique archive to create a new valuable learningresource. In addi%on to this major project, Warrior also needs to go into dry dock in 2017 forcleaning and other vital improvements.Last year we were delighted to have secured a grant from the Heritage Lo0ery Fund. This incredible support has boosted our fundraising and means that we have now raised 3.7million of the 5.2 million we urgently need, but we cannot do this on our own. Please visitJustGiving.com/HMSWarrior1860 or text DECK 16 and your amount to 70070 to donate andmake a difference today.Join as a member, volunteer, fundraise or donate or why not get involved and pledge yoursupport by a0ending one of our special evening events. Gene Expression DNA has many regions, some of them are coding regions – the genes which code for proteins, and other regions are non-coding regions which can switch the genes on or off and therefore determine if they will be expressed (if their protein will be produced) or not.
