INTRODUCTIONWelcome to the Provider Directory and Resource Guide for Lawrence County Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol Services . The purpose of the guide is tohelp identify appropriate behavioral health services and ancillary services available within Lawrence County. This guide was prepared primarily for individuals andfamilies residing in Lawrence County who are members of the HealthChoices Program, the managed care program for individuals who have the PennsylvaniaDepartment of Human Services Medical Assistance ACCESS card. Members of the HealthChoices Program usually know they are members and have received aMember Handbook from Beacon Health Options of Pennsylvania (BEACON), their managed care organization. These individuals can access services by calling thetoll-free BEACON Lawrence County Member Line at 1 (877) 688-5975 or by calling one of the listed providers.Please note that services in the HealthChoices Program depend on eligible individuals receiving Medical Necessity Evaluations for assessment purposes and todetermine the appropriate level of care that will best meet their needs. Services focus on assisting theyouth and their family deal with the youth’s mental health orbehavior problem. Outpatient Mental Health ServicesIndividual, group, or family counseling with a therapist whoworks on the identified mental health concerns. Outpatientservices can also include visits with a psychiatrist for medicationassessment. Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services(Mobile or Site Based)Community based services delivered to adults with seriousmental health problems to build skill levels and provideenvironmental supports. Human Services CenterPartial Hospitalization ServicesTreatment for serious mental health problems where anindividual lives at home and receives treatment for a minimumof 10 hours/week. Children’s Aid Society of Mercer CountyMulti-Systemic TherapyIntensive in-home mental health services for youth under 18 years of agewho are also involved in the juvenile justice or child welfare systems. The individual resides in a licensed mental healthfacility with 24-hour supervision while receiving treatment. See Appendix A for listings.Case Management ServicesA Case Manager who will work with an individual with mentalhealth concerns to identify and access necessary communityservices and resources. Center for Community Resources Human Services CenterClozapine Support ServicesIndividuals using Clozapine may require services, such as laboratory tests,to help monitor how they are responding to the medication. Human Services CenterAdult Mobile MedicationAvailable to individuals who have difficulty managing medications ontheir own. The service provides support, education, and skill building forindividuals to become independent and responsible for their medications. HealthChoices Drug & AlcoholServicesHospital-Based Detoxification and/orRehabilitationDescriptionTreatment that provides 24-hour medically directed evaluation,detoxification and care delivered in a hospital setting foraddicted clients.
