Classification: Reference: EL14-010c Date: NTB14-024c July 12, 2016 2014-2016 ROGUE; IPDM CONFIGURATION AFTER UNIT REPLACEMENT This bulletin has been amended. Two part number tables, and symptoms that could occur if the IPDM is not configured have been added, and the APPLIED VEHICLES section has been revised. Please discard previous versions of this bulletin. APPLIED VEHICLES: 2014-2016 Rogue (T32) SERVICE INFORMATION After replacing an IPDM in an Applied Vehicle, the IPDM ECU part number must be selected for proper function. Use CONSULT-III plus (C-III plus) through Manual Configuration to do this. The setting is based on the vehicle options (see Table A, B or C on page 2 for vehicle options). The IPDM E/R part number is externally marked on all IPDM E/R cases and does not indicate what it is configured as. Once configured, the configured number can only be read through Read / Write Configuration. IPDM E/R configuration cannot be read through Work Support / ECU Identification and will only show the part number that is marked on the outside of the case. The vehicle will not start until the IPDM is configured. If the IPDM is configured incorrectly for the vehicle’s options, the symptoms shown below may occur. SYMPTOM Headlight system error shown in meter for halogen equipped vehicle CAUSE Halogen headlights configured into an LED headlight vehicle LED headlights configured into a Halogen headlight vehicle No cranking/No start, but ignition can be ON No configuration HLL (Head Light Leveling) DTC could be stored Mis-selection of part number & HLL LED Headlights flicker Nissan Bulletins are intended for use by qualified technicians, not 'do-it-yourselfers'. Qualified technicians are properly trained individuals who have the equipment, tools, safety instruction, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. NOTE: If you believe that a described condition may apply to a particular vehicle, DO NOT assume that it does. See your Nissan dealer to determine if this applies to your vehicle. 1/8
