About This Document This document contains information about the items included in the emails that you receive after placing a Sentinel Services order. It guides you on how to obtain and access these items and related documentation. Your Sentinel Services order may include all or any the following Sentinel products: Sentinel EMS: The interface for license and entitlement management. Sentinel RMS: The SDK for integrating Sentinel RMS enforcement into your software. SCL (Sentinel Cloud Licensing) Add-on for RMS: The add-on for enabling cloud licensing in your software. Sentinel LDK: The SDK for integrating Sentinel LDK enforcement into your software. Sentinel Fit: The small footprint and secure licensing solution. TIP Save the Sentinel Services order emails for reference in future as these contain important information related to download, installation, and configuration of the purchased product.

Sentinel Serial Number The Sentinel serial number is mentioned in every Sentinel order email before the Order Details section. For example: It is a unique numeric identifier that is used for tracking orders and future upgrades. Note: The serial number is also required for the installation and upgrade of Sentinel RMS.

Sentinel EMS Sentinel EMS is a web-based solution that provides you with a centralized interface for all your license and entitlement management functions. It offers an easy-to-use interface for your back office systems and a variety of advanced data collection and reporting functions. It also provides a centralized license management interface for employees, customers, and channel partners. Sentinel EMS Order – First Email Content If you have placed an order for the Sentinel EMS, the order email includes the following: Order Details: Contains information about product version and license validity. Sentinel EMS URLs: Different environments might be delivered with the Sentinel EMS order— the non-production environment for testing, the pre-production environment replicating the production environment for the final quality check (if applicable), and the production environment for serving the customers. Accordingly, you receive a combination of the following URLs for accessing the Sentinel EMS portal: - Sentinel EMS – Non-Production Environment - Sentinel EMS – Pre-Production Environment - Sentinel EMS – Production Environment Note: For the trial purchases, only the non-production environment EMS URL is provided. Sentinel ECP URLs: Sentinel EMS provides Enhanced Customer Portal (Sentinel ECP) that enables your customers to view entitlements, activate products, and download files. If you have purchased Sentinel ECP along with Sentinel EMS, the following Sentinel ECP URLs are included in the order email: - Sentinel ECP – Non-Production Environment - Sentinel ECP – Production Environment Sentinel EPP URLs: Sentinel EMS provides Enhanced Partner Portal (Sentinel EPP) that your channel partners can use for entitlement and customer management. Sentinel RMS Sentinel RMS is a software licensing SDK for your applications. It provides license enforcement against the unauthorized use of your proprietary software. It protects your revenue by only allowing the authorized use of your software and offers a variety of licensing schemes to boost your product sales. SCL Add-on for RMS SCL (Sentinel Cloud Licensing) Add-on for RMS helps attain the benefits of cloud-connected licensing, such as usage collection and better control over licenses, for both on-premises and cloud-based software. With this add-on, software vendors can create a feature-rich hybrid offering consisting of cloud components—leveraging and extending the core competencies of RMS and EMS. Note: Both Sentinel RMS and Sentinel EMS are required for using the SCL Add-on. SCL Add-on Order – First Email Content If you have placed an order for the SCL Add-on, the order email includes the following: Order Details: Contains information about the product version and license validity.
