The order has been placed for our newmissals from Ignatius Press. They should bemaarriving soon.They will be in effect starting with theFirst Sunday of Advent November 29, 2020Faand will be available in two versions, one inEnglish and the other in Spanish.EFor those who would like a single missal that has all the readings forevery Sunday and Daily Mass I recommend the Daily Roman Missalpublished by the Midwest Theological Forum. It is what I use and contains alengthy section on devotions which are very helpful. I use it for Benedictionand when I pray the Stations of the Cross, for example.The ISBN for the Hardcover Black version is 978-1-936045-56-3but there are several other versions. Keep in mind that it is a general DailyMissal and will require some practice to locate each reading depending on theday and the year. INSTRUCTIONS FOR PUBLIC MASSES1. Catholics will continue to bedispensed from Sunday Mass andHoly Day Masses, until furthernotice.2. Access to the Mass will belimited. In order to be sure that we haveenough space between parishionersonly every third pew will be available.Families and those that live togethermay sit in the same pew, but in othercases there will only be two people ineach pew. The Church will be fullwhen each of the pews has eithertwo unrelated people in it, or about50 people are in the Church. Oncethe limit is reached anyone else whocomes in will have to wait for thenext Mass or will have to come backanother day. We may implement asimple system to regulate Massattendance at some time in thefuture.3. Hand hygiene and masks are key. Parishioners will be expected tosanitize their hands immediatelyupon entry to the church. Likewise,they must wear a mask at all times,with the exception of receiving HolyCommunion.4. Singing will be limited. There will be no choirs at this time,and there will be limited singingamong the congregation.Page 65. Parishioners will receive HolyCommunion in a safe manner. Instructions will be given by Fr.Francesco at each Mass in thefollowing weeks. There will be noExtraordinary Ministers of HolyCommunion at this time. Also, it isnot necessary to receive HolyCommunion at every Mass oneattends, during this time or at anyother time.6. The Church will be sanitized afterevery Mass and parish event. This will take time and that is whythe Mass schedule for Sundays has tobe changed for now.7. Budget envelopes will besubmitted as you leave. Baskets will be present on both sidesnear the exit of the Church.8. Avoid personal contact withanyone. The sign of peace, which is alwaysoptional, will remain suspended.Even though it saddens me to saythis, please do not congregate beforeor after Mass during this time.9.
