President’s MessageAs you know, we live in an increasingly complex and potentially dangerous world. Whether it is natural disasters, car accidents, fires ormedical emergencies, our communities rely on fire and emergencyservice personnel to protect them. The International Association ofFire Chiefs Foundation (IAFCF) is dedicated to supporting these firstresponders through the administration of our scholarship program. Each year the IAFCF provides scholarships to well deserving career and volunteer fire andemergency service personnel who are enrolled in college coursework or other academicprograms that will help them further their fire service education. Unfortunately each yearthe IAFC Foundation also has to turn down scholarship applications from other well deserving individuals due to a lack of available funds. You can help us change that - withyour financial support the IAFCF will be able to fund additional scholarships and make areal difference in a first responder’s life.During these challenging economic times, many departments across the country no longer offer tuition reimbursement which means many dedicated fire and emergency servicemen and women have to cover 100% of their own education expenses or seek funding assistance from other sources. Now more than ever, the financial support of an IAFC Foundation scholarship may mean the difference between someone continuing with their studiesor putting them on hold for financial reasons. The personal stories from past scholarship recipients included in this brochure clearlydemonstrate how an IAFC Foundation scholarship can help individuals reach their careergoals. By completing the donation form on the last page of this brochure you will help theIAFC Foundation meet its goal of awarding scholarships to a larger number of fire andemergency services personnel. Your generosity today will help improve the fire service oftomorrow.Sincerely,Anthony P.
