I have beendetained in Class 11 in schoolbecause my academic result was notgood. But some of my friends havebeen directly promoted based ontheir earlier results.REPLY1. All schools are advised topromote students of grades 9and 11 to the next grades on thebasis of all the school-basedassessments including projectwork, periodic tests, termexams, etc. conducted so far.2. For any child who is unable toclear this internal process, (inany number of subjects), theschool may utilise this period forproviding remedial interventions,and school may give theopportunity of appearing inschool-based test/s, online oroffline. The promotion of suchchildren maybe decided on thebasis of such tests.3. Schools need to follow theinstructions issued by CBSE. Thisapplies to all the schools in Indiaand Abroad.2Clause 5 of CBSE Press release dated1.4.20 notifies that the Board hasdecided to not hold any more examsfor the students of class 10 and 12schools located outside India.As per the information available,schools have been closed for a longperiod in Middle East Countries and inKuwait till 3rd August,2020.
