Information for candidatesCambridge English examinationsFCE, CAE, CPEWho can take Cambridge English examinations?Anyone can take Cambridge English examinations as there are no age restrictions or basic qualificationsneeded to enter.When are the examinations held?Cambridge English examinations are held in June and December. We have fixed test dates for listening,writing, use of English and listening papers. Speaking tests are conducted on separate days andconfirmed speaking test dates will be available two to three weeks before all the papers start.How do I register for examinations?In order to sit for examination, you must register with British Council, Singapore by submitting anapplication form and a copy of NRIC or passport, whichever is applicable by the registration closingdates. Applications forms are available at our Customer Service Counters, Napier Road Centre;alternatively you may download the form from our website: www.britishcouncil.org.sgYou may submit the application form in person or by post. You have to pay the examination fee in fullwhen you register.If you register in person, you may pay by cash, NETS, cheque and credit cards (Visa/MasterCard). No refund will be given for any other reasons including clashes ofdates with local examinations, personal and holiday arrangements.The British Council reserves the right to cancel any examination and to refuse to accept any applicationfor examination. If the British Council cancels examination, a full refund of registration fee will be made tocandidates. The British Council also reserves the right to change examination dates if necessary.Results & CertificatesCandidates can check their results by logging onto the Cambridge English website 6 weeks after theexamination. Test day photos forCambridge English examsInformation for candidatesCambridge English exams – Mandatory test day photosCandidates taking most Cambridge English exams from now on will have their photo taken on the day of the exam. This increases thesecurity of the test and will help organisations such as universities, employers and immigration authorities to confirm your results quicklyand easily. No-one will be able to access your picture unless you give them access to it.Before the test dayYour centre will ask you to sign a document, such as a registrationform, where you agree to have your photo taken on the test day.If you are under 18, your parents or legal guardian will need to signthis document.On the test dayYour photo can be taken on either the day of the speaking testor the day of the written test.Your centre will tell you when to arrive at the test venue.Make sure you get there on time. When you get to the venue,follow the instructions of the centre staff.They will take a passport-style photo of you.
