Letter to FamiliesEsteemed parents, teachers, paras, family mentors, and partners,Every transition counts! Every time we give tummy time to an infant to strengthenleft and right neck muscles, we are working on transitions that lead to schoolreadiness. Every time we ask a question when we read aloud together, we areworking on transitions that lead to school readiness. Transition to Kindergarten isnot a one-time event. It is something that we work towards together from beforebirth until that night before they walk into their classroom! Congratulations on allthe successful steps you have already taken. Please use this transition notebook this year before your child goes to Kindergartento guide you. It will help you considerquestions such as, “how can I learn moreabout Kindergarten options in PSD?”Later this school year, you will receivea list of the Kindergarten Open Housesand Informational Nights hosted byeach school. You can find your homeschool on the psdschools.org homepage under the tab schools/programs.Kindergarten registration for your childis February 8, 2018.
