The doors will belocked and the climate controlsystem may come on.8 : Press and hold to open orclose the liftgate.Press the key release button nearthe bottom of the transmitter toremove the key. The key can beused for the driver door and theglove box.The engine will continue to run for10 minutes. Repeat the steps for a10-minute time extension. Remotestart can be extended only once.See Keys on page 2‑2 and RemoteKeyless Entry (RKE) SystemOperation on page 2‑3.To cancel a remote start, do any ofthe following:Remote Vehicle StartIf available, this feature allows theengine to be started from outside ofthe vehicle.Starting the Vehicle1. Turn the keycounterclockwise once to unlock thedriver door; turning the key againwill unlock the passenger doors.Inside the VehicleTo unlock a door from the inside,pull once on the door handle tounlock it, and a second time toopen it.Q:K:Power Liftgate OperationPress to lock the doors.Press to unlock the doors.See Power Door Locks onpage 2‑11.LiftgateManual Liftgate OperationFor vehicles without keyless access,unlock the vehicle before openingthe liftgate.Press the touch pad in the handle ofthe liftgate, above the license plate,and lift up to open.Do not press the touch pad whileclosing the liftgate. This will causethe liftgate to be unlatched.On vehicles with a power liftgate,the switch is on the driver door. Thevehicle must be in P (Park) to usethe power feature. Press the center ofthe switch.1-7WindowsRemote Window OperationPress or pull the switch part of theway to open or close the window.The vehicle may have remoteoperating windows that will openall the windows from outside thevehicle by pressing and holding Kon the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)transmitter.The three modes are:MAX: The liftgate opens to the fullopen height.3/4: The liftgate opens to a reducedheight that can be set by the vehicleoperator in a range of approximatelythree-quarters open to full open.OFF: The liftgate only operatesmanually in this position.See Liftgate on page 2‑13.Fully press the front of theswitch down and release it toexpress-down the window. A ventilated seat has a fanthat pulls or pushes air through theseat. The air is not cooled.Press the button once for thehighest setting. With each press ofthe button, the seat will change tothe next lower setting, and then tothe off setting. The indicator lightsnext to the buttons indicate three forthe highest setting and one for thelowest. If the front heated seats areon high, the level may automaticallybe lowered after approximately30 minutes.See Heated and Ventilated FrontSeats on page 3‑9.The heated and ventilated frontseats can also be programmed tocome on during a remote start.See Vehicle Personalization onpage 5‑40.
