This document is set up according to the varioustasks that may be performed when using the Secure Enterprise Search feature.1.2.3.4.5.6.7.Open Internet ExplorerType HCM92prd.bgsu.edu in the navigational barThe HCM PeopleSoft sign-in page appearsEnter Username and PasswordFrom the Home page, begin using the SES featureChoose a Category to search onDrill down to receive the proper dataSECTION INAVIGATIONBegin the process by enteringin the PeopleSoft HCM URLaddress.Step 1: Enter USERNAMEand PASSWORDNote: These will be your BGSUnetwork credentials.Step 1a: ClickSECTION IIENTERPRISE SEARCHCATEGORIESSES allows actions directly fromsearch results based on thecontext without navigatingthrough the menu to find whatyou are looking for.Your results are based on yourroles and permissions within thePeopleSoft application.5/21/15Page 1 of 6

Secure Enterprise Search - SESStep 1: Choose a Category toperform a searchNote: For our purposes we will besearching the Job Data tables.Step 2: Category will populate Search will be performedagainst the Job Datahistory tablesSECTION IIISEARCH RESULTSStep 1: The search resultswill appear. The most relevant resultswill be sorted at the top. Facets (Filtered by) allowyou to quickly find whatyou are looking for. Thefacets here have changedto reflect Job Datacategories. You may refine yoursearch several layersdeep without going back tothe search page byclicking on thehyperlinks under thefacets.5/21/15Page 2 of 6

If the information that hasbeen searched on is notwhat is expected you mayClear one Filter or ClearAll Filters to start thesearch again.Clearing Filters Clickto clear onefilter and return to theprevious search page.If you clear one filter and theother filters remaining do notapply, the system will removeall filters.
