4Volgenau School of Engineering Systems Engineering and Operations Research operations-research-phd/)Cardinal EducationCardinal Education (formerly the Commonwealth Graduate EngineeringProgram/CGEP) is the premier provider of high-quality post-baccalaureateonline engineering education in the Commonwealth of Virginia. It isdesigned for practicing engineers, computing, and information scientistsinterested in maintaining and enhancing their skills through the pursuitof an online degree or certificate. Participating universities are: GeorgeMason University, Old Dominion University, University of Virginia, VirginiaCommonwealth University, Virginia State University, and Virginia Tech.Offerings include master’s degrees and certificate programs.While each program is based at one of the six participating universities,the collaboration between universities allows students more flexibility,potential shorter time to completion, and greater variety in courseofferings. A substantial number of course requirements can be taken atany of the six participating universities to satisfy the degree or certificateprogram.Students interested should begin by applying directly to the universityoffering the degree of interest.
