Discipline PolicyAlways be on time.Be at practice everyday.Players are expected to do the right thing onthe field/court and in the classroom.Missed practice and classroom behaviorequals reduced playing time.Always show respect to all schoolpersonnel, referees, teammates,property, and equipment. Be PROUD tobe a Bulldog!

Attendance PolicyAccountability-Athletes can’t improve if they are not here.Avoid appointments during practice times.Everyone needs to be at practice even if you can’tparticipate. Minor injuries/sickIf your child is going to miss practice, the parent MUST notifyCoaches by phone at 682-867-8069 or 682-867-8000. (leavemessage) Email jgruber@aisd.netUnexcused absences will result in lost playing time and/orremoval from team.

GRADING POLICYThe U.I.L. requires a student to pass everycourse in order to be eligible.If a student fails a class for the six weeks, thatstudent is INELIGIBLE to participate in gamesfor at least three weeks.If a student has ALL passing grades on his nextprogress report, he regains eligibility.Ineligible students are still required to practice,but is not able to ride the bus to any awaygame.

GENERAL INFORMATIONState law and UIL rules prohibit any athlete fromparticipating without a physical.All online AISD & UIL paperwork must be completed priorto participation.

GENERAL INFORMATIONAISD policy establishes that Jr. High programs arepart of a six year program.We teach Martin High School schemes andtechniques in all sports at Boles.

GENERAL INFORMATIONAthletes must wear the new AISD Athletic uniforms (shorts &t-shirt)Make sure your athlete uses his athletic locker-if they loseequipment they must pay for it.Athletes that have prescription inhalers should bring them toathletics. Must have proper documentation with schoolnurse.We can hold inhalers during practice/games if they have theathletes name on them. Athlete must pick them up afterpractice or game.

GENERAL INFORMATIONPractices are closed. Football parents can watchfrom behind the fence or parking lot.Parents are not allowed on fields or courts duringany practice or game.If there is a medical emergency during aevent/game, AISD will have a paramedic and/oran athletic trainer on-site to assess the injury.

7th Grade Football3 total teams consist of:A, B1, B2Team placement decided bythe coaching staff prior to firstgame.Team placement may changeat any time during theseason.

7th Grade FootballFootball practice will begin Monday September 14thPractice begins at 7:30AM each morning and endsat 9:00AM. Right now Kids should arrive by 7AM tocheck in as we will still continue temperature checksand Covid Screening.Athletes need to arrive and enter the back gate bytennis courts promptly at 7AM and be suited outready to start practice by 7:30AM.Do NOT drop your child off or have them arriveprior to 7:00 AM.

7th Grade FootballGame Days are on Mondaysunless a holiday.Athletes are not allowed to leaveafter school on game days.Food – Keep it light. No food is allowed to bebrought to campus during hybrid school.Athletes must pack a lunch and dinner on gamedays this year.

7th Grade Football7th Grade Football is very competitive thisyear in Arlington.We will play to win.There is no guarantee of playing time. Ifthey practice and dress out for game everyplayer will play in the game.Players may move up and down from oneteam to another based on performance inpractice and games.

8th Grade FootballFootball practice will start on September 14. Willbegin at 4:30 and ends at 6pm.Pick up athletes after practice NO LATER than6:15pm.

8th Grade Football2 TeamsA and BTeam placement decided by coachingstaff prior to the first game byevaluations.

8th Grade Football Game nights are on Tuesdays. Athletes are not allowed to leave campusafter school on game days. Food – Keep it Light!!! No foodcan be brought or dropped offthis year during the hybridsession.

8th Grade Football Players may move up or down the rosteror from team to team based uponperformance. There is no guarantee of playing time. If your child misses a practice, your childmay lose playing time. “A” Team records are kept by AISD.

Playing TimeThere is no set amount of playing timeper athlete. Every person on the teamwill get to play in the game if they areeligible to play.Everyone does not deserve to play,everyone deserves to be coached.Coaches will play who they feel give theteam the best chances to be successful.TRUST ABILITY PLAYING TIME

Chain of CommunicationWho do you ask/When do you ask?Player needs to ask the position coach what they needto work on to get better.Player then can visit with the head coach of their sportabout what they can do to get better.Parents can visit with the head coach about what theplayer can do to get better at the appropriate time.Appropriate time is during a scheduled meeting.Please follow the 24 hour rule regarding speaking

Game/Event TransportationAthletes must be picked up within 15 minutes upon returningto school after games/events.AISD Board Policy-All athletes must ride to and from thegame/event on AISD provided transportation. This is a newmandated item. Only extenuating circumstances will bereviewed 1 week prior to the game/event and must beapproved by the school principal.If you decide to take the athlete without prior approval, amandatory meeting will be requested with the athleticcoordinator and loss of playing time/suspension will be inplace till the meeting has occurred.

What we need from you:To encourage your athlete to be the bestthey can be!Academics, training, diet, and rest arecrucial to developing into a great studentathlete.Be careful with criticism of team, coaches,players, and especially your athlete.We want to build them to love the sportthey play not break them down.
