Cool temperatures are upon usand the fall colors are soon to be at their peak. Halleluiah, nothing better than an old sweatshirt,comfortable pair of jeans and a nice fire!Welcome to our newest Lion Pat Dyson, sponsored by Lion Dale Schlitt!Speaking of membership, a few housekeeping details I want to pass along. When proposing a new member,it is the sponsor’s responsibility to make sure, the new “prospective lion” has completed volunteering fortwo service projects and attends one meeting. In addition, prorated dues for the year will need to be paidat the time of initiation. We encourage new membership, but we also want the new members toparticipate in club activities. As a sponsor, you thought enough of them to become “A Lion,” as theirsponsor, take an active role to make sure they stay “A Lion.”Thanks to Lion Hove and his cook crew for preparing lunch prior to the United Way Golf Tournament onFriday, October 5th, it was really appreciated. Also, thanks are in order to Lion Jerry Brunner and Lion LeonHove for their work with glaucoma screening at the YMCA Health Fair on October 18 th.Plans for Friday? Don’t forget about the Chili Cook-off downtown.
