MODEL: PKUMUXRev.: 20110630INSTALL A, B & C: PROGRAMMING MODE FOR CODEDCHRYSLER KEY with INTEGRATED REMOTEFor Durango 2004 built before 17/05/04The PKUMUX is compatible with 2004 Dodge Durango. However, all Durango’s built prior to 5 / 17 / 2004 must get aWCM module upgrade wich will correct a problem preventing the vehicle from learning additional keys. Chrysler iscorrecting this issue only when a Durango owner requests a new transponder key. The PKUMUX must be programmedas would an additional key. The WCM replacement part number is 56038675AS.*You will need 2 valid keysOFFKEY#1IGNONKEY#1OFF3456*If present, immediatly remove the screw on the back of factory remote as shown on illustrationat step 6Insert the first valid key into the ignition switch and turn it ON for at least 5 seconds, but nolonger than 15 seconds.Turn the ignition switch OFF and remove the first key.IGNONKEY#2Within 5 seconds insert the second valid key and turn the ignition switch ON.OFF2B) Plug the 2 pin loop antenna ring connector into the2 pin connector of the module.IGNONAfter 10 seconds a chime will sound and the security light will begin to flash inthe cluster (not on the module). Turn the ignition switch OFF and remove thesecond key.KEY#2OFF1NoteMove antenna loop as close tothe front of the ignition cylinder(factory receiver ring) as possible.A) Place the loop antenna ring around the vehicle'signition cylinder as shown.SecurityIGNONRemove cover and PC board from factory remoteWithin 20 seconds from step 5, jump the blue/white wire (ground when runningoutput (-) status) of the PKUMUX to ground.OFFTo groundThen, insert key (with the PC board removed) to the ignition position for aperiod of 10 sec, you will hear a chime, the light will turn on for 3 sec. 12 PIN HARNESSGroundBlackData Output GMBatt 12vRedData Input GMWhite/Red 12VDCBCMCutBCMThe Resistor code wire shows 12V for key sense, 0V for accessory, 5V during ignition, and just under 4V duringcrank. This is due to the ignition switch shorting a 1300 ohm resistor between the Resistor code & the 5v Referencewires. This diagram keeps the vehicle from setting off codes. Although these codes do not bring up any lights on thedash they are still stored into the computer of the vehicle. If a dealer hooks up a scan tool they will see this and will beable to blame it on the remote start. For troubleshooting a vehicle that uses this diagram that will not remote start thevehicle would only require bypass, ignition & accessory, and tach to crank the vehicle and start. Make sure you havethe ignition, and test the tach source.
