OBJETIVOElaborar el sustento técnico que permite estandarizar la adquisición de computadoras deescritorio, eligiendo a la marca HP como la más idónea por la compatibilidad de arquitecturascon los equipos que ya posee la empresa.4. ANTECEDENTESActualmente la E.P.S. Sedacusco S.A. cuenta con aproximadamente ciento cincuenta (150)equipos de computo, distribuidas en las diferentes áreas de las sedes de la empresa. El 100%de estos equipos son de marcas propietarias, es decir, no existen computadoras compatibles oensambladas. o Software de Diseño Asistido por Computadora – CAD§AutoCAD Civil 3D§WaterCAD§SewerCAD8. JUSTIFICACIONEl segmento de las computadoras de escritorio está divido entre los equipos de marca opropietario y los equipos ensamblados o compatibles. A su vez estos dos segmentos estáncubiertos por los equipos que utilizan los procesadores marca Intel y procesadores marcaAMD.La E.P.S. Sedacusco cuenta con el 100% de equipos propietario con Procesadores INTEL.Además las computadoras propietario garantizan el óptimo funcionamiento de los dispositivosque forman parte del equipo; lo que se traduce en contar con la Garantía del Fabricante parael óptimo funcionamiento de los mismos.Como se puede apreciar en los puntos 5 (con los anexos 1 y 2) y punto 6; la E.P.S. SedacuscoS.A. posee actualmente el equipamiento de la misma marca que los equipos solicitados para laestandarización. Los Servidores de los Sistemas que se utilizan en la empresa, funcionan bajo laplataforma Microsoft Windows Server y HP recomienda el uso de los mismos.La plataforma de Sistema Operativo tanto de usuario como de servidores, es de la familiaMicrosoft; MS Windows 7 Pro, MS Windows Vista y MS Windows XP Pro para lascomputadoras de escritorio y MS Windows Server 2008 R2 para los equipos servidores.Para asegurar la continuidad de los procesos en la empresa, el E.F.P. de Soporte Informáticorecomienda la adquisición de los equipos de cómputo de escritorio solicitados y cuyasespecificaciones se detallan en el punto 6 del presente documento. Se ha tomado en cuentatambién la garantía post venta de los equipos y HP cumple notablemente con las exigencias dereposición de equipos o cambio de partes por fallas.
9. PERIODO DE VIGENCIAEl periodo de vigencia de la estandarización es de 6 (seis) meses.10. CONCLUSIONESLa marca HP es una de las marcas con mayor reconocimiento a nivel mundial y actualmentelíder en venta de Computadoras de Escritorio e Impresoras en el Packard)La E.P.S. Sedacusco S.A. hace algunos años viene utilizando esta tecnología para elprocesamiento de la información generada mediante los sistemas, aplicativos y softwareespecializado propio del trabajo de la empresa.Durante este tiempo, los equipos han respondido a las exigencias de procesamiento yalmacenamiento de la información, inclusive el buen tiempo de respuesta por parte delfabricante para la solución de problemas reportados ante la ocurrencia de fallas menores.Por todo lo expuesto en los párrafos anteriores se recomienda la estandarización de losequipos de cómputo a la marca HP, para GARANTIZAR la operatividad de los sistemas,aplicativos y software especializado de la empresa.
