biographiesElizabeth Wilson is in her second year as Director of Women’s Choir/VoiceInstructor at Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior to her work at GeorgiaTech, Mrs. Wilson was Choral Director for both Pope and Wheeler HighSchools in the Cobb County School District. Choirs under her direction receivedconsistent superior and excellent ratings at LGPE each spring and were selectedfor two consecutive GMEA In-Service Conferences in 2004 and 2005. Additionally,Mrs. Wilson's choirs were often invited to perform in state, regional and nationalevents including appearances at Carnegie Hall. Mrs. Wilson earned a Bachelor ofMusic in Music Education from the University of Georgia and a Master of Music inChoral Conducting from Georgia State University. Following her master’s degree,she worked for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra as Director of Student MusicianDevelopment for three years. Beth is currently serving as Treasurer for the GAACDA state chapter. Additionally, she is an active GMEA adjudicator as well as asought-after conductor, clinician, and soprano soloist.J. D. Burnett enjoys a varied career as a conductor, singer, and teacher. Heis Assistant Professor of Music and Associate Director of Choral Activitiesat the University of Georgia Hugh Hodgson School of Music, where heconducts the Men’s and Women’s Glee Clubs and the Collegium Musicum, andteaches courses in choral literature and conducting. Additionally, he is ArtisticDirector and Conductor of the Kinnara Ensemble, a professional chamber choirbased in Princeton, New Jersey.Formerly, he served as Assistant Director of the Dallas Symphony Chorus,conducted New Jersey Youth Chorus Young Men’s Ensemble, was AssociateConductor of the Masterwork Chorus of New Jersey, and was Acting Director ofChoral Activities at Montclair State University. His earlier posts include InterimDirector of Choral Activities at San Jose State University, Artistic Director of theNew Jersey Chamber Singers, Music Director of the Houston Masterworks Chorus,and Founder/Conductor of Men’s Consort Houston. Burnett taught on the choralmusic faculty at Kingwood High School in suburban Houston. He also served asChoral Editor at McGraw-Hill, Inc.Dr. Burnett did undergraduate study at Stanford University and Oklahoma StateUniversity. He holds advanced degrees in choral conducting from WestminsterChoir College and the University of North Texas. As a professional choral singer,Burnett has performed seasons, concerts, and recordings with the StillwaterChamber Singers, Cantare Houston, The Santa Fe Desert Chorale, The RobertShaw Festival Singers, Fuma Sacra, the Choir of Trinity Church Wall Street, theOregon Bach Festival Chorus, and Conspirare.

Alison Mann is Associate Professor of Choral Music Education and ProgramCoordinator for Music Education at Kennesaw State University, where sheteaches coursework in Choral Methods, Foundations of Music Education,and Vocal Pedagogy for Ensemble Singing. Mann also supervises student teachersand serves as Conductor of the KSU Women’s Choir and University Chorale.A native of Florida, Mann taught in the Orlando public schools as director of choralactivities at William R. Boone High School and was also the assistant conductorof the Orlando Chorale. While in Orlando, choirs and soloists under her directionreceived top honors at the district and state levels.Dr. Mann received her Ph.D. in Music Education and Choral Conducting from theUniversity of Oregon, and a Masters of Choral Music Education and Bachelorsof Choral Music Education from Florida State University. Dr. Mann has studiedconducting and music education with André Thomas, Kevin Fenton, Sharon J.Paul, Judy Bowers, and Harry Price. Dr. Mann is currently the Southern DivisionACDA Women’s Choir Repertoire and Standards Chair, and the Georgia stateACDA Membership Chair. Mann has also served as the ACDA Multicultural andEthics Repertoire and Standards Chair for the states of Georgia and Oregon andthe Georgia Women’s Choir Repertoire and Standards Chair. The Women’s Choirhas performed on numerous occasions with the KSU Symphony Orchestra, andperformed the world premiere of Nico Muhly’s composition, How Soon with Grammyaward-winning ensemble, "eighth blackbird." Additionally, they were invited to singat the GMEA 2014 In-Service Conference in Savannah. Her professional affiliationsinclude the American Choral Directors Association, National Association for MusicEducation, Georgia Music Educators Association, National Collegiate ChoralOrganization, and the International Society for Music Education. Her research hasbeen presented at the state, regional, and international levels. Dr. Mann is anactive conductor, clinician, and adjudicator.Elise Eskew Sparks has served as the Director of Choral Activities at AgnesScott College since 2008. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University ofNorth Carolina at Chapel Hill, Elise taught high school choral music for sevenyears in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She has resided in Atlanta since 2003,receiving a Masters of Sacred Music in choral conducting from Emory Universityand a Ph.D. in Music Education from Georgia State University. Elise serves as thepart-time Choral Director at Decatur High School in 2012. A mezzo-soprano, Elisehas sung under the direction of Helmuth Rilling, Ton Koopman, Matthew Halls, andcurrently sings with Coro Vocati.
