Dawson Memorial Baptist ChurchNominating Team Report 2021-2022CHURCH COORDINATING TEAMJob Description, Duties & Responsibilities – The Church Coordinating Team is to assistthe Senior Pastor, the Church Staff and the Active Board of Deacons in coordinating theadministrative and teaching ministry of the church, as well as assist in clarifying thechurch’s mission and priorities. The Team is to advise the staff in their administrativeand ministry functions when the church is not in Conference. The Team shall providebeneficial counsel, advice, direction and guidance to the church staff in order tomaintain a coordinated implementation of the church’s many ministries, outreach andservices that is consistent with the vision and mission of the church. The Senior Pastoror the Chair of the Active Board of Deacons shall make a report to the Active Board ofDeacons at each regular Deacons meeting.Composition, Nomination, Election, Tenure - The Church Coordinating Team shall becomposed of ten (10) members. The Senior Pastor who shall serve as the Chair of saidteam, the current Chair of the Active Board of Deacons, the Chair of the followingChurch Teams: Facilities, Finance, Missions, Personnel, and Stewardship, and three (3)at-large members. The at-large members shall be elected for a three-year term andshall not be eligible for re-election until one year has elapsed between terms. The atlarge members shall be selected in the following manner. The Senior Pastor, currentChair of the Active Board of Deacons, and members of the Active Board of Deacons whoare in the last year of their term of service shall submit a list of three (3) names to theChurch Nominating Team from which one (1) name will be recommended by the ChurchNominating Team and elected by the Church Conference to fill the expired at-largeterm. The initial three (3) at-large members of the Church Coordinating Team shall beselected in the same manner from a list of nine (9) names submitted to the ChurchNominating Team.
