5.0 INSTALLATION AND INITIAL CONFIGURATIONBefore you startPlease first download the Bosch Smart Cameras App. You need theapp to install and configure the 360 -Indoor Camera. Make sureyou have installed a connection to the internet as well as Wi-fi.Please have the Wi-fi password available. Make sure your smart phoneis connected to the Wi-fi network you want to use for the camera.For Android Devices Open Google Play Search for “Bosch Smart Home” Select the “Bosch Smart CamerasApp” Tap “Install”5.1 Check the Wi-fi availabilityThe Indoor Camera needs a stable and sufficientlystrong Wi-fi connection.3G/4GFür Apple iOS-Geräte Open the App Store Search for “Bosch Smart Home” Select the “Bosch Smart CamerasApp” Tap “Install”Please choose the location where youlike to position your Indoor Cameraand check first the strength of theWi-fi-signal at this location, using yoursmart phone.20The table below indicates if the Wi-ficonnection strength is sufficient foruse in combination with the IndoorCamera.21

5.2 Indoor Camera installationWhen positioning your Indoor Camera, please note the following: Position the Indoor Camera on a flat, level surface Preferably the Indoor Camera observes the area you wantto monitor, you better avoid having the Indoor Camera lookingat windows The cable should be fastened, so that it can’t makethe Indoor Camera fall when touched accidentalyThe Indoor Camera is not suitable for outdoor use.Please position the Indoor Camera in climate controlledindoor rooms only.Please position the Indoor Cameraright up standing e.g. on a cupboardor table.2223

5.3 Power the Indoor CameraEUUS“Click”UK20 sec.Select the appropriate plug andattach the plug to the power adapter.24Connect the Indoor Camera via thenetwork cable to the socket.The Indoor Camera is now poweredand ready for use. The Indoor Camerawill now boot and prepare itself forconfiguration. When the Indoor Camerais ready to connect to the Wi-fi the lightring blinks green.25

5.4 Configuration of the Indoor CameraGreenRed3 sec.20 sec.Blue20 sec.To configure the Indoor Camera youneed to make sure your phone isconnected to the Wi-fi networkyou want to connect the device to.Then please start the app and loginwith your Bosch account or register.26In the Bosch Smart Cameras App overview screen, please select “Add Camera”. Follow the steps indicated in theapp and enter the Wi-fi-password ofthe network you want to connect yourcamera to when asked. The app willnow generate a QR code. Please showthis QR code to the Indoor C amerafrom about a half arm’s length.When the camera recognized the QRcode, you will hear a beep and the lightring will be green for about 3 seconds.The camera will automatically reboot,indicated by the light ring beingred. Thereafter it will automaticallyconnect to the Wi-fi and to the cloudservice. Once the connection and con-figuration is completed the light ring issteady blue. The camera is now readyfor use. Whenever it streams video thelight ring will light up blue.27
