3 Get startedAlways follow the instructions in this chapter insequence.Install batteriesThe batteries can only back up clock and alarmsettings.Caution Risk of explosion! Keep the batteries away from heat,Set timesunshine or fire. Never discard batteries in fire.Note Batteries contain chemical substances, so they shouldbe disposed of properly.Insert 2 AAA batteries (not provided) withcorrect polarity ( /-) as illustrated.Connect powerCaution Risk of product damage! Make sure that the powervoltage corresponds to the voltage printed on the backor underside of the clock radio. Risk of electrical shock! When you unplug the poweradapter, always pull the plug from the socket. Neverpull the cord. Use only the AC power adapter specified in themanufacturer or sold with this unit.Note The type plate is located at the bottom of the clock radio.
