EPoS INFO1 Polyp – 1 ContainerWe sometimes lose patients for inclusion in EPoS because more than one polyp is put in the samecontainer for histology. Please remember to always use one container per polyp.Segment – not cm from SphincterOne of the important variables is colon segment; where the polyp was found. Using cm from the analsphincter is not a good description of anatomic site, and it leads to unspecific and incorrect data. Therefore, please encourage all endoscopists to include a clear description of which colonic segment each polyp wasfound in the endoscopy report.Tips and Tricks from Frontier Science Remember to mark the CRF as complete when all data have been entered.Fill out the Error Report Form and send to Frontier, if errors are made at randomisation. Two or more baseline colonoscopies: The FINAL baseline colonoscopy is registered in the «BaselineData».Previous baseline colonoscopies are registered in «Previous Baseline Colonoscopy», see image below.Polyps are registered in the associated colonoscopy CRF. Click «Detected in previous colonoscopy» inthe Final baseline colonoscopy if polyps were left in situ previously. There is a link in Open Clinica which will guide you to support documentation, se image below.First Paper from the EPoS TrialWe hope the EPoS trial will generate many papers in the future. The firstpaper has already been published.Title: Rationale and design of the European Polyp Surveillance (EPoS) trials.Journal: EndoscopyAuthors: Rodrigo Jover, Michael Bretthauer, Evelien Dekker, Øyvind Holme,Michał F.
