Quality describes the products engineered and manufactured byMitsubishi Electric. Quality is what comes to mind when wethink of Mitsubishi televisions, elevators, and air-handlingsystems -- quality that comes from the fact that the majorityof components found in Mitsubishi Electric products are made byMitsubishi Electric factories. Quality comes from a company thatcontrols its own research, development, design, materials, andmanufacturing. From beginning to end, it’s all Mitsubishi Electric engineering; it’s all about quality. The technological advances developed by Mitsubishi Electric show upas innovative features throughout all of Mitsubishi Electric’s products.Efficient and technologically advanced motors, controls, INVERTERdriven compressors, linear electronic expansion valves, and microprocessors are all developed by Mitsubishi Electric and used in theCITY MULTI Variable Refrigerant Flow Zoning (VRFZ) systems.Cross-functional engineering allows Mitsubishi Electric to provideinnovative new products in the United States that have a proven trackrecord worldwide.IndividualAir Conditioningand HeatingMitsubishi Electric’s line ofCITY MULTI and Mr. Slim air conditioning and heatingproducts are intelligent systems, helping improve quality of life.Developed for commercial orresidential use, these productstake advantage of MitsubishiElectric’s innovative engineeringand world-recognized quality.3

CITY MULTI VRFZ (VariableRefrigerant Flow Zoning) Systems:a user-friendly, ductless, orcommercialor residential comfortductedcontrol system.Quality and reliability from a name youknow: Mitsubishi ElectricCITY MULTI is the first two-pipe, simultaneous coolingand heating system available in the United States. Yet ourtechnology has a long, proven track record of qualityand reliability around the world. Mitsubishi Electric, anacknowledged global industry leader, has installed CITYMULTI zoning systems in buildings throughout Asia, Europe, and elsewhere for nearly twenty years with great successand customer satisfaction. Let a Mitsubishi Electric representative show you how you can put the ultimate coolingand heating system to work for you and your customersright here, right now. Contact us at 800-433-4822 (#4).Complete zoning systemA CITY MULTI VRFZ system consists of an outdoor unit,a branch circuit (BC) Controller (depending on series),multiple indoor units, and correspondingsystem and zone controllers.Installation of this fully integrated zoning system is fairlysimple. The outdoor unit, the BC Controller, and each ofthe indoor units are connected by a two-pipe refrigerantsystem. The outdoor unit and the BC Controller, depending on the series, work in unison to deliver a variationof refrigerant flow to each indoor unit. The Direct DigitalControls system controls the network link between theindoor units with the BC Controller and the outdoorunit to provide convenient control of the entire system.Separate remote controllers connected to individualindoor units — or groups of indoor units — provideindividual zone control.Controls WiringZoning advantageThe best way to ensure total comfort for the occupants ofoffices, schools, hospitals, assisted-living facilities, hotels, and more is to provide each individual zone with a personalized comfort system. Zoning offers maximum individualcomfort and energy savings because only the zones that needair conditioning receive it. Each zone of the CITY MULTIsystem has its own indoor unit or group of indoor unitsthat precisely control the indoor temperature while operatingwith optimum energy usage. You set the comfort level, then relax. The CITY MULTI VRFZ (Variable Refrigerant Flow Zoning)system takes advantage of inverter technology by varyingthe speed of the compressor in the outdoor unit to meet thechanging load requirements in each of the indoor zones. Anenergy-wasting “dump zone” for excess hot or cold air as usedwith a typical zoning system is not necessary with CITY MULTIsystems. Our system recycles the energy in other zones toprovide comfort only to the zones calling for air conditioning.4These controllers provide a wide variety of configurationsettings to satisfy each zone’s requirements, includingtemperature control and timer settings.Easy to install, easier to operateCITY MULTI is a simple, two-pipe system with easy,non-polar, two-wire control connections. Thesefeatures add up to less labor and materials, quicker, easier installation, and a much lower overall operatingcost for the building owner.

Ductless or ducted indoorunits for ultimate flexibilityCITY MULTI outdoor units can operateup to 32 ductless or ducted indoorunits, making the system ideal forvirtually any type of application or anyvariety of applications within the samebuilding.
