AssemblyHandle AssemblyYour Steam Mop Deluxe assembles quickly andeasily. OperationGetting ready continued2.Fill the water tankA. Remove tank by lifting straight up and awayfrom unit.B. Unscrew cap at bottom of water tank andremove the insert assembly.C. Fill water tank with water. For best results,water should be at room temperature.2A2BD. Replace insert assembly and cap, tightenuntil snug.E. Replace water tank by lining up verticalguides and gently sliding tank into place.3.Twist the quick release cord wrap clockwise tounwrap the power cord completely and plug intoa 120-Volt grounded outlet as described on theImportant Safety Instructions, page 3.4.The ready light will illuminate when the Steam MopDeluxe is ready for use.2EBefore you cleanThoroughly sweep or vacuum floor prior to cleaningwith the Steam Mop Deluxe.Cleaning hard floorsYour Steam Mop Deluxe is designed to clean hard flooring such as ceramic tile, vinyl, laminate, marble, stoneand sealed hard wood floors. Use of your Steam MopDeluxe on waxed or some unwaxed floors may result in adiminished glossiness. The Steam Mop Deluxe is not foruse on unsealed wood floors. OperationCleaning hard floors continued1.When the ready light illuminates, begin cleaningby slowly passing over surface while pressing thesteam on demand trigger to emit steam as needed.2.To sanitize an area of your floor, (attack invisiblegerms and bacteria) place the center of theSteam Mop deluxe directly over the spot for aminimum 15 seconds, but no longer than 20seconds. For larger areas, overlap swivel headplacement.3.When the Steam Mop Deluxe stops emittingsteam, simply remove the water tank, refill, andcontinue cleaning.Carpet Refresher AttachmentThis accessory is recommended for therefreshing of carpets. Once the steam mop iscradled in the carpet refresher attachment, it willeasily glide over the carpet.NOTE: Always be sure a mop pad is in placebefore placing in carpet refresher attachment.Only white mop pads should be used with thecarpet attachment. Do not use carpet attachment on spots or stains, or glide it over thesame spot for longer than 20 seconds.1.2.Warning:Never put descaling,aromatic, alcoholic, ordetergent products intothe steam cleaner, asthis may damage it ormake it unsafe for use.Tip:During first use, it maytake several seconds forthe Steam Mop Deluxeto begin steaming. Thewater needs to flowthrough the filter to theheater. This delay will onlyoccur during initial use orwhen using a new filter.Attach the mop pad to the swivel mop head. Asdirected in step 1 on page 6.Place the swivel mop head, with mop padattached, in the carpet refresher attachment.Note: that the Steam Mop rests in the carpet refresher attachment and may not stayattached to the swivel mop head. It is meant toglide over the carpet.3.4.Fill the water tank with water. Begin refreshingyour carpet or rug by pushing the Steam Mopin a forward and backward motion, releasingsteam as you go.When you have finished refreshing your carpetor rug, unplug the steam mop and remove fromthe carpet or rug.NOTE: Move the Steam Mop and carpetrefresher attachment in a continuous motionuntil you are finished. This product is notintended to be used as a carpet cleaner, only acarpet refresher or deodorizer. Never attemptto use the Steam Mop on carpet without thecarpet refresher attachment in place. Maintenance and careWhen you're done1.Unplug power cord from outlet.2.Carefully remove mop pad from swivel head, asmop pad and lower assembly will be hot.3.Any water remaining in the water tank shouldbe emptied prior to machine storage.4.Mop pad can be machine washed in warm water.Use only liquid detergants. Do not use bleach orfabric softeners, For best results, air dry.5.Wrap power cord around quick release cordwrap on side of Steam Mop Deluxe.6.Wipe all surfaces of Steam Mop Deluxe with asoft cloth. Store upright in a protected, dry area.CAUTION:Upright storage of theSteam Mop Deluxe with awet mop pad may resultin the formation of whitemarks on your floor. Toremove the white marks,clean area with vinegar.NOTE: If steam output is reduced, the nozzlemay be blocked. To remedy, unplug unit,remove swivel head from lower body and pourvinegar through center tube of swivel head“neck”. Change the filter when the brightgreen grains turn blue.
