upport after Year 1The University Fellows Award offers fully-funded support in year 1 of the nominee's studies, professional development funding in year 2, and other opportunities throughout a Fellow's timeat the University of Arizona.Colleges and programs that recruit a Fellow will be expected to commit support equal to orgreater than what is provided in a 0.25 FTE Graduate Assistantship (stipend, healthcare, and0.5 base graduate tuition coverage) for years 2 through 5, pending satisfactory academicperformance and availability of funds. This support can be made in the form you see fit (tuitionwaivers, scholarships, assistantships, etc.) as long as it is - at minimum - equivalent to thesupport offered by a 0.25 FTE Graduate Assistantship. Nearly all programs support theirFellows with a 0.50 FTE Graduate Assistantship. If a Fellow is awarded external funding, suchas an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, in the amount equal to or greater than a 0.25 FTEGraduate Assistantship, the commitment can be met by the external funding source. The following questions seek to clarify what support will be provided to your nominee after year1.Sample UF Nomination Form, Spring 2021Page 4 of 10
