2019-20 SUMMER NIGHT MARKETThe 2018-19 Summer Night Market season attracted over380,000 visitors, with an average of almost 23,000 people eachnight.Melbourne’s original Night Market is the place to meet everyWednesday night during Summer to feast on global street food, browsevintage fashion offers, experience emerging Melbourne designers andenjoy live performances from local and international acts.Entering its 22nd season, the Night Market has been on Melbourne’sSummer calendar since 1998.The 2019/20 season is set to run every Wednesday night from 20November 2019 – 11 March 2020 (excluding Christmas Day 25/12/19and New Years Day 01/01/20 ) between 5pm-10pm over 15 weeks.The Night Market will continue to showcase Melbourne’s rich anddiverse culture through: Food vendors providing a wide range of street foods with afocus on multi-cultural cuisines, all prepared and cooked fresh on-site. Showcasing a wide range of Victorian & Australian products,the Night Market will again be a fully licensed venue. Designer fashion and artisan stalls offering a diverse productmix with an emphasis on innovative, handmade and locally designedpieces. A dedicated ‘Spirit Zone’ area featuring massage therapistsand tarot readers with complimentary body and beauty products; aswell as a 'Book Nook' with local booksellers. Stall presentation including visualmerchandising, branding, quality of product,fixtures and fittings and staff uniforms(if any). Your retail, business and market experience. The Summer Night Market is a very busyenvironment with many moving parts.Patience and flexibility are two key attributesthat are highly valuable when operating atthe Summer Night Market.The sequence of the above criteria does notimply any relative priority. Furthermore,these are not the only criteria upon which theassessment of applications is made.Applications close at 9am Monday 9thSeptember 2019.
