I started my first profitable business at around 19 years old. It was alittle business I got into based on a book Ibought from an ad I saw in a business opportunity magazine. I remember the full-page adwell. The headline was: How to Become aCredit Card Agent! I think this company isstill around, based out of Eugene, Oregon.Little did I know that the business itself wasn’t100% legal. And although I did all of thesteps outlined in the mail order book I boughtfrom this company, I later found out that any-one can sell anything in the form of information —legal or not — under the First Amendment of freedom of speech. It’s only the people who actuallyDO the stuff outlined in the books and coursesthat get into legal trouble, not the people whowrote it. So, in my mid-20s, I found myself in atough legal battle with the government because,put simply, I didn’t have a clue as to what I wasgetting into for a business. My parents weren’table to guide me, entrepreneurship isn’t taught inpublic schools, and those of us who end up verysuccessful find that we’ve usually had to go aboutit the hard way through what we call The Schoolof Hard Knocks.Since then — and full-well knowing the insand outs of the law — I’ve been able to start andsucceed at many multi-million-dollar enterprisesfrom real estate investing endeavors to complexmulti-faceted businesses. No, the life of an entrepreneur sometimes isn’t easy but it’s definitelywell worth it when it comes to financial and freedom rewards. What I want to show you is howyou can become as financially successful asyou want to be but without all of the pitfalls.

Of course, you can choose to learn theart of business and making money fromsomeone who has never been in a businesslawsuit, never had legal issues arise, andnever had any business challenges. Thereare quite a few internet “gurus” online whocan “teach” you everything you need to knowbased on theory and non-real-life how-to advice. So, while Rhonda is using THE SECRET toget what she wants in life, she’s peddling misleadinginformation that has made her millions of dollars tothe unsuspecting public about “The Secret” whenshe’s purposely left out THE REAL SECRET!The original working title of my book was:The Lost Chapters of Think and Grow Rich. But because The Napoleon Hill Foundation decided to slapa trademark on Think and Grow Rich only a handfulof years ago, we decided not to infringe upon thistrademark even though the 1937 version of Thinkand Grow Rich is public domain due to a small loophole in the copyright law of that era.What I wanted to also do was play off TheSecret — because it angers me beyond belief nowthat I know THE REALSECRET — that Rhonda Byrne herself choseto dilute the final cut ofthe movie The Secret bypurposely REMOVINGthis one secret! People like Ford and others wereafraid that if this one secret got into the hands of thecommon man, he (and his colleagues) would suddenly NOT have the labor they needed to help operatetheir multi-million (and now multi-billion) dollar enterprises and organizations.I believe this is why the two chapters wereSTRIPPED from Think and Grow Rich within a shorttime before the book went to press ON PURPOSE.This is because this ONE SECRET is far too powerfulfor the average person to have or to know.but mostimportantly TO USE in their daily life.
