This program will bring inlive animals so that attendees can learn more about theirfunction in our environment with a hands-on experience!With this in mind, the theme for our annual children’ssummer reading program, Build a Better World, couldn’t beany more relevant. This year, in addition to reading, prizesand programs, you and your children will have a chanceto help your community through school supply drives at alllibrary branches. We will accept donations of new schoolsupplies and back packs that will be delivered to childrenin your communities just in time for September.Our Sciencetellers program will allow children to listen to astory about building a pirate ship for the high-seas while alsoexploring the true science behind some key factors likeclouds, combustion, and air pressure. Ships ahoy!In addition to those specialized programs, there will befitness nights for our tots, paper art workshops and karaokenights for grades 6 -12, and concerts with Alex and theKaleidoscope for all ages.Want to relax and support the arts? This summer, join usagain for our annual Summer Music Series. Along with jazz,classical and American standards we will be celebratingthe 100th anniversary of Dean Martin’s birth with a musicaltribute which includes his signature songs.
