9ASPIRE GuidelineQuality1. Quality RequirementsIn order to pursue our goal of zero defects, aconsistent advanced quality planning process(APQP) must be implemented between AGCOand its suppliers. This includes effective serialmonitoring, re-qualification, and continuousimprovement of both products and processes.Failure-free processes and products must bedeveloped, planned, implemented and assured,jointly, by AGCO and its Suppliers.AGCO can only make progress if it can rely on thecommitment of its suppliers. This is why AGCOoffers a quality approach based essentially onpreventive action based in four areas: The Supplier Validation Process based on theSRR Assessment Audit and TechnicalProcess Assessment (TPA) for definedprocesses.The Nomination Process, based in theTechnical Review, including feasibility analysisby the Supplier.Preferred Target Product Quality Assurance, to ensure that thepreventive and formalized quality measures aredefined and applied. From the PPAP process(APQP process for more complex componentswith development tasks), to the serial follow up. Supplier Performance (KPI). AGCO monitors theSupplier’s performance taking into account thefollowing KPI’s (Supplier Quality Indicators). On Time Supply (OTS)PerformanceOn time supply measures the supplier’s ability tomeet AGCO Corporation’s requirements on timeand at the right quantity to our global locations.Our objective is to achieve a stable flow of on timesupply into our operating sites in support ofAGCO Corporation meeting our customer deliveryexpectations 100% of the time. One time supplyenables our AGCO Production System (APS) toproduce world class products on a consistent andreliable basis.AGCO Corporation desires to choose preferredsuppliers and strategic partners who consistentlysupply the right quantity of product at the righttime to our sites around the world.AGCO Corporation’s measurement foron time supply is:A. Direct Material Suppliers - 2 days early and0 days late to the order shipping or deliverydate. 100% of the order line quantity, nopartial credit will be given for partial quantities.B. Freight Carriers - 0 days early and 0 dayslate to the agreed to transit time and 100% ofthe transportation order quantity . No partialcredit will be given for partial deliveryquantities. The transportation lead time isbased on the agreed to transportation time asspecified in the Transportation Agreement.2. Logistics AgreementSuppliers are expected to participate andcomply with the terms of the AGCOCorporation Logistics Agreement. This supports AGCOsstrategy to take fact-based sourcing decisionsand helps to identify opportunities for processimprovement potential that will yield mutuallybeneficial cost savings. Suppliers are stronglyencouraged to demonstrate that they haveactive internal processes for value engineeringand supply chain cost management. AGCOstrives to work with suppliers that aresupporting this strategy and who activelycollaborate with AGCO to achieve optimumsupply solutions.Preferred TargetSuppliers are encouraged to submitcost-reduction plans meeting ACRE (“AGCOCollaboration and Reduction Expectation”)targets. Submitted suggestions are documentedfor evaluation and credit is granted based onsubmission as opposed to implementation.3. Forward-thinkingsuppliers recognize the need to promote productinnovation while ensuring quality, performance andaffordability.AGCO desires to work with preferred suppliers andstrategic partners who consistently support ournew product development in our sites around theworld.KPIs for NPI Collaboration & Innovation will includeboth objective and subjective elements. AGCO willconsistently reward with new business supplierswho demonstrate excellent NPI performance by: providing cost competitive solutions thatreduce AGCO’s total cost of ownership; delivering timely and proactive input based ontheir technology expertise; deliver excellent quality systems / components; showing true partnership spirit by anticipatingproblem identification &resolution, constantlykeeping an open communication flow ; constantly acting as innovator in their field.In particular, significant contributions to AGCO’sproduct innovation is a key criteria forconsideration in achievement of Preferred andPartner status levels.2. Performance TargetsPPAP Parts On-Time Delivery (PPAP/OTD)measures the supplier’s ability to meet AGCO’srequirements for components to be delivered toour global sites on-time and at the right qualityduring NPI (New Product Introduction) launches.Our objective is to complete the Pre-Series/Seriesbuild phase in our assembly lines in a timelyfashion, in order to proceed with all necessaryvalidations and smoothly introduce new product inthe market.AGCO’s measurement for PPAP/OTD is: A score of 100% is awarded for the delivery ofPPAP parts on or before the agreed due date. Global supply chains can be exposedto a seemingly endless number of risk factors. AtAGCO, taking proactive measures is a key pillar ofsupply chain risk management. Accordingly,AGCO utilizes various tools to assess and monitorrisks within the supply chain. These risks canrange from financial risks to FCPA violations toupstream and downstream mapping of a supplierssupply chain. No matter what the risk, ACGOwants to be in a position to quickly identify any riskoccurrences and react appropriately.
