North Dakota Fishing Waters (not including the Missouri River System)The following includes most of the public fishing waters in North Dakota, listed alphabetically by county. Ifunsure of the location of a county or the code number, refer to the map on pages 50 and 51 which lists thecounty code numbers that coincide with this listing. Each lake listed includes travel directions, most commonspecies present, boat motor restrictions (if any), season restrictions (if any), species restrictions (if any), baitrestrictions (if any), dark house spear fishing (listed if allowed) and fishing piers (listed if present). Also listedare aeration systems if present. Use extreme caution when ice fishing on lakes with aeration systems. Lastly,most of North Dakota public fishing waters have a boat ramp (concrete and/or metal). If a boat ramp is lackingat a specific water body, it is listed as ‘no ramp’.Rivers And OthersRed River - Eastern edge of state. Entire length of the river, especially dams near Drayton, Grand Forks, Fargo,and Wahpeton. Tributaries such as Pembina, Forest, Turtle, and Wild Rice often good.
