The split systems are designed for applications where ducting condenserdischarge air is not practical. The outdoor unit removes condenser heat through a glycolloop and can be located up to 30ft away from the indoor unit. The units do not requirean external water source. All glycol/water mixture is provided with the unit. With 2 fanspeeds the indoor units allow for quiet operation for office settings or any applicationwhere noise can be a factor. With their durable metal construction and 4 wheels, theyare very useful for rental. Integral control panel has troubleshooting features and clearindications of unit operation. The units have a “spot cool” or “room cool” functions. Thespot cool is designed to deliver very cold air for a continuous amount of time. The roomcool feature is designed to work with a set-point based on room air. Leave unit in an upright position for at least 3 hoursbefore first use.Always place the unit on an even, level surface.Ensure the unit is connected to a grounded power supply of the correct rating / capacity.The unit will cool when the room temperature is between 64.4 F (18 C) – 122 F (50 C) depending on thethermostat setting.DO NOT use this unit for functions other than those described in this instruction manual.DO NOT tilt the unit.DO NOT cover or obstruct the unit’s inlet and outlet grilles.DO NOT use the unit in areas where it will be exposed to rain or water.NEVER unplug the unit while it is operating.DO NOT use the unit in wet environments, such as a laundry room, to avoidthe risk of electrical shock.10.11.12.13.DO NOT place any foreign objects on the unit.DO NOT operate the unit with wet or damp hands.DO NOT allow chemical substances to come into contact with the unit.DO NOT operate the unit in the presence of flammable substances or vapors such as alcohols, pesticides,gasoline, etc.DO NOT operate the unit in explosive or flammable environments.14. If it is necessary to use an extension cord or an adapter plugto operate the unit, ensure that they are correctly rated for the application. Consult a local qualified electricianand all local electrical codes to ensure proper setup. Any extension cord used with this device must be rated for aminimum of 15A.18. DO NOT unplug the unit by pulling on the electrical cord. Keep electrical cord away from heat sources and alwayscompletely unroll the cord to avoid overheating. If the power cord becomes damaged, a qualified service agent,qualified electrician, or similarly qualified person must replace it, in order to avoid a hazard or shock.DO NOT operate a unit with a damaged power cord.19. The filters must be used with the product at all times. When the filters are removed for cleaning, always ensure thatthe unit has been turned off and unplugged from the electrical outlet.20. Regularly clean the filters to maintain efficiency. If the filters are not cleaned regularly, the units output performanceand efficiency will decline and energy consumption will increase.21. DO NOT operate the unit with a damaged power cord or plug, after it malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged.22. Only use in the upright position on an even, flat surface. Unit must be positioned at least 24 inches (60 cm) fromthe nearest object in front.23. Stop operation immediately if abnoraml noise or odor is noticed. Contact a local service center.24. Appliance is not to used by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack ofexperience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction.25.
