Electrical engineering/Electronics Electronics training system FACET System descriptionFACET and the eSeriesFACET and eSeries –A completely integrated systemThe FACET with eSeries trainingsystem is a unique combination ofhardware and software, providing acomplete learning solution for Electronics training. This modular training system encompasses four areas of electronics:– Basic principles of Electricityand Electronics– Digital and MicroprocessorElectronics– Industrial Electronics– CommunicationsSystem overviewThe FACET training workstation consists of a base unit and your choicein a series of 30 boards to choosefrom, covering a wide range of electronics topics. Each board comes with comprehensive, hands-on instruction with theory and practice. This courseware isoffered in traditional paper format oron a computer based platform. The computer based courseware, called eSeries for FACET , can run asstand-alone or within the MindSightLMS platform, providing a seamlessintegration of courseware deliveryand classroom management.Conventional or virtual instrumentation is required to complete the training set up.Flexibility in deliveryTo accommodate a variety of trainingsituations, the system offers multiple configurations. Whichever youplan to use, FACET workstation canbe ordered as a stand-alone or USBconnected version. The courseware can be delivered in astandard, paper-based curriculum or,be a computer based interactivemultimedia courseware, the eSeries.Furthermore, the eSeries can be ordered as an autonomous coursewareor, managed by our LearningManagement System, the MindSight. This LMS can configured as aLAN- or Web-based software. When combined with the LMS MindSight and eSeries courses, FACET becomes a totally connected learningsystem for electronics that enhanceslearning speed and retention.FACET is suitable for a multitudeof training purposes in educational, industrial, R&D and training laboratories224-month Festo Didactic warrantyRugged construction for durabilityThe hardware components of theFACET system are highly safe anddesigned for durability.A complete electronic workstation isformed when a training board is inserted into the base unit. The built-inguide and stopper protects the unitfrom damage. The unique zero insertion force (ZIF)connector with a lockable knob insures the integrity of the connection. The connector is gold-plated for added durability.Power is distributed to the board bythe base unit, which is fully protected against short circuits, reversevoltage and overcurrent. The fact that there is no high voltagemakes the system completely safefor students.
