See “Damage Caused by Use orthe Environment” page 14.Please refer to the Ford RoadsideAssistance section of this Warranty Guidefor complete details (page 22).CORROSION COVERAGEUnder your New Vehicle LimitedWarranty, Corrosion Coverage begins atthe original warranty start date andcovers body sheet metal panels againstcorrosion due to a defect in factorysupplied materials and workmanship.The length of the coverage depends onthe type of corrosion damage:ALUMINUM BODY PANELCORROSION COVERAGEYour vehicle’s aluminum body sheetmetal panels, if any, are covered for anextended Corrosion Coverage Period,which lasts for five years, regardless ofdistance driven. If aluminum body panelshave corrosion or rust damage, and thedamage is not the result of abnormalusage, vehicle accident, customer actionsand/or extreme environmentalconditions, the corrosion or rust damagerepairs are covered for 5 years, regardlessof distance driven. For damage caused byairborne material (environmental fallout)where there is no factory-related defectinvolved and therefore no warranty ourpolicy is to provide no extra charge repairof paint damage due to the airbornematerial for 12 months or20,000 kilometers, whichever occursfirst. If corrosion causes perforations(holes) in the body sheet metalpanels, the coverage extends for5 years/unlimited distance. If corrosion does not causeperforations (holes), and is not theresult of vehicle usage and/orairborne materials, the CorrosionCoverage is 36 months or60,000 kilometers (whicheveroccurs first).7

The accessory willbe warranted for the greater of thefollowing: Alterations, modifications orreconstruction of the vehicle,including the body, chassis, or anyother component after the vehicleleaves the control of Ford ofCanada Alterations or modifications toallow the use of alternate fuelsafter the vehicle leaves the controlof Ford of Canada Rebuilding the vehicle after it has 24 months unlimited kilometres; or The remainder of your Basicsuffered such extensive collisiondamage in an accident that it wasjunked, written-off or deemed to bewritten-off, even if the rebuiltvehicle uses undamaged parts andcomponents from the written-offvehicleCoverage period.This means that Ford OriginalAccessories purchased along with yournew vehicle and installed by the dealerare covered for the full length of yourBasic Coverage period – 36 months or60,000 kilometres (whichever occursfirst).
