By 2016,Ameco Beijing completed two Boeing 737800 C-checks for Nok Air in June. It is the firsttime for Ameco to provide overhaul servicesfor Nok Air. Nok Air is a new low-cost airlinewith one of the highest number of domesticroutes now within Thailand. In recent years,Ameco is dedicated to expanding the 3rdparty international airframe overhaul business. Besides Nok Air, Ameco has alreadybuilt up new cooperation with customerssuch as MEGA Maldives Airlines, Business Air,ACT Airlines and T’way Air since 2012. At thesame time, Ameco also keeps long-term relationship in heavy maintenance with the airlines from North America, Europe, Russia/CIS,and Asia Pacific area. Moreover, on April 16,Ameco signed three Boeing 747 heavy maintenance contracts with Southern Air at MROAmericas that further enlarges Ameco’s NorthAmerica customer group. Ameco Beijing’s annual turnover in airframe overhaul servicessaw a sustainable growth these years. Basedon statistics, Ameco’s revenue in airframeoverhaul for the 3rd party international customers increased by CAGR 20% in the pastfive years. In particular, the revenue for the3rd party international airframe overhaul services saw a sharp rise of 29% in 2010 and 55%in 2011 with the proportion almost 59% and78% in total airframe overhaul workload. Doric Nimrod Air Three Ltd. (“DNA3”)aims to pay a quarterly dividend equivalentto 8.25% annum (based on the issue price of100 pence per share) following the purchaseand leasing of four Airbus A380 planes toEmirates. DNA3 continues an investmentmodel that has been proven highly successful for UK investors as it has been for manyyears in Europe, and follows the launch oftwo previous successful offerings by Nimrod Capital. The Doric Lease Corp team, thelease asset manager, has a long and successful history in managing these types of aircraft investments. DNA3’s investment strategy is the purchase of four A380 aircraft,scheduled for delivery from September toNovember 2013, and leasing them to Emirates, each for a period of up to 12 years.DNA3 will aim to pay a dividend of 2.0625pence per share per quarter, equivalent toan annual dividend of 8.25% per 100 penceshare. Under the terms of the lease, the airline is responsible for insurance and all otherservice, maintenance and repair costs. In addition to the regular yield of 8.25 per cent,once the lease has expired, the aircraft arelikely to be sold and investors paid out fromthe residual value. 180m revolving credit facility forFinnairA 180m syndicated revolving credit facility for Finnair Plc. with Handelsbanken ascoordinator and Handelsbanken, Pohjola,Nordea, Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken andDanske Bank as mandated lead arrangers,was signed on 2nd July 2013. The Facilitycarries a maturity of 3 years.TransDigm acquires electromechanicalactuation division from GE AviationTransDigm Group announced that it acquired the assets of GE Aviation’s Electromechanical Actuation Division for approximately 150m in cash on June 28, 2013.The business, which will be conducted byTransDigm through a new entity, WhippanyActuation Systems, (Whippany), located inWhippany, New Jersey, manufactures proprietary, highly engineered aerospace electromechanical motion control subsystemsfor civil and military applications. Productofferings include control electronics, motors, high power mechanical transmissionsand actuators. Whippany’s revenues are estimated to be approximately 80m.OTHER NEWSLufthansa Technical Training (LTT) nowoffers type and basic training in compliancewith the new requirements of the EuropeanAviation Safety Agency (EASA). The statutory requirement referred to as EU1149/2011states that beginning August 1, 2013, onlythe new requirements for content and duration for EASA Part-147-approved Typeand Basic Training will apply for training organizations as well as for license holders ofEASA category B1 and B2. This means thatLTT already provides customers a total of 400

Accordingly, in June the authority responsible for the matter – the Federal Aviation Authority – approved all relevanttype training courses offered by LufthansaTechnical Training.Hawaiian Airlines unveiled a state-of-theart Airbus A330 Full Flight Simulator (FFS)at its corporate headquarters to provide onsite training for its pilots. The simulator ismanufactured by Sim-Industries, a subsidiaryof Lockheed Martin, and allows Hawaiian tocontinue its Advanced Qualification Programfor pilots using the most advanced and sophisticated technology available. Hawaiianis the first and only Hawaii-based airline tohave a FFS on-site for its pilots. The multi-million-dollar investment is estimated to return 3.6m in cost savings every year.Airclaims signed a six-month contract withHi Fly Malta to provide CAMO support foran A340-600. Airclaims, a leading providerof aviation claims, risk and asset management services, will be relying on Commsoft’sOASES MRO IT system to fulfil the contract.Designed to combine ease of use with a technical sophistication that allows for the full integration of all maintenance and engineeringfunctions, OASES is structured in a modularformat. To support the Hi Fly Malta Airbus,Airclaims will be using the Core, Airworthiness and Planning modules.Finnair one step closer to joining BA/JAL joint businessThe first step was taken to enable Finnair to join British Airways and Japan Airlines intheir successful joint business on flights between Europe and Japan. The three airlinesintend to cooperate commercially by sharing revenue and by coordinating flight schedules and fares in order to offer greater benefits to customers travelling between Europeand Japan.The new joint business arrangement is subject to regulatory approvals. Bringing Finnairinto the agreement will not only strengthen the joint business, it will also enable theoneworld alliance tocompete more effectively around theworld with otherglobal alliances. British Airways and JALentered into a jointbusinessarrangement in October2012 providing theircustomers with better links between theEU and Japan, withmore flight choicesand enhanced frequent flyer benefits.AirTeamImagesThe addition of Fin- Finnair will benefit from joining the BA/JAL joint businessnair to the joint business will further enhance these customer benefits and allow the three airlines to cooperate on expanding their presence within and to and from this important market.Furthermore, as of July 1st, Finnair joined the transatlantic joint business founded byfellow oneworld alliance members American Airlines, British Airways and Iberia. As ofJuly 2nd, Finnair customers flying to North America can book flights to dozens moreNorth American cities on one single ticket. Customers of the other three airlines nowalso have better access to 13 cities in Finland and the rest of Europe, thanks to efficientNordic and Baltic connections from Finnair’s Helsinki hub.TRAFFIC STATISTICS - JUNE For the month of June, AirCanada reported a system loadfactor of 85.0%, versus 85.6%in June 2012. System traffic increased 2.1% on a system-widecapacity increase of 2.8%. Horizon reported a 4.1% increase in June traffic on a 1.6%decrease in capacity comparedto June 2012. This resulted in a4.6% point increase in load factor to a June record 83.8%. Alaska reported an 8.1% increase in traffic on an 8.6% increase in capacity compared toJune 2012. This resulted in a 0.5point decrease in load factor to87.4%. IAG released that June 2013Group traffic increased by 8.2%versusJune2012whileGroup capacityrose by 7.4%.The load factorfor June wasup 0.7 pointsto 84.7%. Delta Air Lines reportedsystem traffic for the monthof June 2013 increased 0.7%compared to the same period in2012, while system capacity wasup 1.4%. System load factor forthe month was slightly down,by 0.6 points to 87.5%. Norwegianreleased thattraffic in Juneincreased 35%compared to the same periodin 2012, while capacity was up31%. The load factor was79.6%, up 2.7 points from thesame month last year. Ryanair released passengerand load factor statistics forJune 2013, with its monthlyNorwegian’s traffic rose 35% in JuneAirTeamImagestraffic increasing by 2%. Theload factor for June 2013 was84%, the same as the previousyear. US Airways Group reportedits June 2013 traffic results.Mainline traffic for the monthwas up 7.3% versus June 2012,while mainline capacity wasup 5.3%. Mainline passengerload factor was a record 88.2%for the month of June, up 1.7points versus June 2012. WestJet announced June2013 traffic results with a loadfactor of 76.8%, down 2.2points when compared to June2012.
