Over 75 engaged learners joined speakersMolly Vollman Makris and Mary Gatta, who discussed the redevelopment of AsburyPark and the effects that gentrification has on the residents of the town itselfMeet a Friend: Q & A with Carol Smith Years enjoying lifelong learning classes? 23 years! I took weekend bus trips while stillworking and expanded into classes after retirement. W hat inspired you to create the volunteer group Friends of Lifelong Learning?I am a retired engineer. Lifelong learning has enriched my life by introducing meto completely new interests such as art, history, and literature. A dedicated group ofstudents can demonstrate the importance of these programs and influence futuredecisions made by the College. How has Lifelong Learning adapted during Covid? The introduction of Zoom classeswas wonderful, with teachers and students adapting so well, I think the option willcontinue post-Covid. Some classes have out-of-state participants. Wow!
