Advances in Social Science, Education and Humanities Research (ASSEHR), volume 3402019 International Conference on Education Innovation and Economic Management (ICEIEM 2019)Teaching Research and Practice of TextileIntangible Cultural Heritage in Colleges andUniversities—Take Tianjin Polytechnic University for ExampleXu JunSchool of ArtTianjin Polytechnic UniversityTianjin, ChinaAbstract—The teaching research and practice of textileintangible cultural heritage in colleges and universities should bebased on their own disciplinary advantages and regionalgeographical advantages, fully utilize the existing research results, and focus on the protection of textile intangible cultural heritageand the establishment of teaching system. It has explored andestablished a complete traditional basic theoretical system andself-evaluation criteria. In the large historical background, aflexible and effective teaching form has been formed. Keywords—Textile intangible cultural heritage, inheritance,multi-integration, systemI.INTRODUCTIONGeneral Secretary Xi pointed out in the report of the 19thNational Congress of the Communist Party of China; Culture isa country and nation’s soul. Our country will thrive only if ourculture thrives, and our nation will be strong only if our cultureis strong. Without full confidence in our culture, without a richand prosperous culture, the Chinese nation will not be able torejuvenate itself. As the essence of traditional cultural, textile intangiblecultural heritage is not only the inheritance of artistry, but moreimportantly, the continuation of cultural connotation. Collegesand universities with the characteristic background of textileindustry must undertake the dual historical mission of textileintangible cultural heritage education. In the process ofinheritance of textile intangible cultural heritage education, colleges and universities are faced with a series of dilemmasand challenges, such as unclear educational concepts andsubjects, the deficiency of education and basic theoreticalresearch, and single educational inheritance model andpractical platform. As a gathering place for training top talents, colleges anduniversities are the mainstay of cultural construction. Relyingon the professional advantages of disciplines and specialty,Tianjin Polytechnic University first introduced textileintangible cultural heritage into the industry-universityresearch system in colleges and universities.TianjinPolytechnic University takes the responsibility of inheritingand protecting the textile intangible cultural heritage. Relyingon the advantages of the textile, clothing and other first-classdisciplines, Tianjin Polytechnic University have created thecampus characteristics of "intangible culture ".Taking the undergraduate teaching quality and teachingreform of common colleges and universities in Tianjin as anopportunity, this paper puts forward that the creative culturalindustry that participates in the traditional textile intangibleheritage in the college teaching segments is an important partof the combination of the industry-university-research in highereducation. The combination of industry-university-research isthe trend of the development of higher education in the world. The University of Cincinnati was the first to establish thiseducational model, which has a history of more than 100 years. There is still no targeted research and practical exploration inthe "industry-university-research" of the intangible culturalheritage of China's textile industry. And the creative cultureindustry of traditional textile intangible heritage is rarelydiscussed [1]. The teaching system of industry-universityresearch cooperation in the field of textile intangible heritageculture and creative industries has not been establishedscientifically. It is necessary for colleges and universities tocontinuously carry out systematic research and practicalexploration in the teaching process with the theme ofinheritance in textile intangible heritage education. The Operational Guidelines for the Implementation ofConvention for the safeguard of the Intangible CulturalHeritage "specially encourage" "Professional teaching ofintangible cultural heritage in higher education institutions topromote interdisciplinary scientific, technical and artisticresearch activities" [2]. Teaching textile intangible culturalheritage in colleges and universities can promoteinterdisciplinary scientific, technological and artistic researchactivities. With the traditional culture and skills enteringcolleges and universities, traditional culture and skillscomplement their strengths extensively on the materializedlevel. Skills are integrated into technology and technology isinjected into skills, which can promote mutual progress. This paper is the key research project of the research on the protection, inheritance, education, and innovation of the traditional intangible heritage inthe higher education system in Tianjin’s education work. Advances in Social Science, Education and Humanities Research (ASSEHR), volume 340II. TEACHING RESEARCH AND PRACTICE PLATFORM FORTEXTILE INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE IN COLLEGES ANDUNIVERSITIESThe construction of teaching research and practice platformfor textile intangible cultural heritage in colleges anduniversities needs to break through the bound of existingteaching modes from a new perspective. In view of the seriousshortage of educational resources for textile intangible culturalheritage in colleges and universities, more emphasis onfragmented general knowledge or technical skills education forstudents in the teaching process of textile intangible culturalheritage, and the neglect of the systematic integration of thetextile intangible cultural heritage into the humanistic qualityeducation in colleges and universities will inevitably lead to theserious absence of service social functions in the inheritance ofthe textile intangible cultural heritage. How to make students fall in love with the textile intangiblecultural heritage knowledge, actively understand and masterrelevant skills, and enhance their practical abilities. It isnecessary for colleges and universities to interpret it from thehumanistic perspective, to close the distance between peopleand people, between people and nature, between folklore andconsciousness, and to restore the balance of traditional culture[3]. Skills are bones, humanities are like God. Good skillswithout good humanities just like the walking dead. Excellentintangible humanities are just like human skin, which can notonly take people by their looks, but also influence people byvisual cognition. It can purify human’s soul as well as improvetheir vitality invisibly. Humanities can both clarify human’sthoughts and express artistic ideas. The construction of theintangible humanities platform can penetrate the contextualintegration, and then mobilize the students’ own enthusiasm, and stimulate their motivation of loving learning from nature.Nowadays, colleges and universities have an important task inthe role-playing, which is to train applicable talents forenterprises in advance. The colleges and universities in the realworld are like cocoons wrapped by various social needs andundergraduates are like silkworm. Breaking through thebondage of cocoons wrapped in layers and eventuallybecoming beautiful butterflies requires the unremitting effortsof the undergraduates and breakthrough of teaching reform incolleges and universities.Relying on the advantages of traditional disciplines, TianjinPolytechnic University attaches great importance to theprotection and inheritance of the textile intangible culturalheritage, combines research, saving and development, promotethe intangible heritage successors and cultivate theundergraduates at the same time. Tianjin PolytechnicUniversity cultivates the characteristic campus culture byguarding the "intangible cultural heritage", and stimulates thevitality of the "intangible cultural heritage", creates andcultivates the important position for the inheritance of the"intangible cultural heritage", which has formed a strongtradition of guarding the "intangible cultural heritage". Payingequal attention to the academic research and personal trainingforms its unique characteristics and advantages. Based on themodern textile industry’s demand for the humanisticconnotation of the industry-university-research in thetraditional textile intangible cultural heritage, and based on thegoal of truly realizing the transformation from a large textilecountry to a powerful textile country, a new inheritanceconcept of "point-line-face-body" in the textile intangiblecultural heritage education has been formed. Meanwhile a newteaching research and practice platform for the textileintangible cultural heritage education has been constructed andachieved remarkable results, which includes "Serving dualsubjects (undergraduates and postgraduates inheritors),refining double classrooms (theory practice), linking up thenew practical platform of multi-integrated education(government school enterprise inheritors), achievingdouble goals (cultural self-confidence inheritance andinnovation) "[4].Fig. 1. Advances in Social Science, Education and Humanities Research (ASSEHR), volume 340III.THREE STRATEGIES FOR TEACHING RESEARCH ANDPRACTICE OF TEXTILE INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE INCOLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIESHow can the teaching research and practice of textileintangible cultural heritage achieve the expected goals? Thespecific implementation can be divided into three majorstrategies to solve the current embarrassing situation, in whichthe course is only used as a theoretical course. It can strive tointegrate theory and practice organically, and truly mobilize theenthusiasm of the listeners, and then bring the enthusiasm intopractice, so as to accumulate first-hand practical experiencesfor entering society in the future.A. Establish a New Concept of Inheritance of TextileIntangible Cultural Heritage Education in Colleges andUniversitiesTaking the advantages of the university, and basing on theSchool of Arts and Clothing, the School of Textile Science andEngineering and the Tianjin Humanities and Social ScienceBase, brings the advantages of human, material and financialresources of the whole university together. The threedimensional integration of scientific research, art andhumanistic economy has carried out a three-dimensionalscanning physical examination of textile intangible culturalheritage, and depicted the development model of textileintangible cultural heritage education inheritance. Taking theprotection, development and innovation of textile intangiblecultural heritage resources as the starting point, the educationalinheritance system and route are constructed throughtheoretical research, personnel training and serving the society.Guiding undergraduates and social technical practitioners ofthe textile intangible cultural heritage to explore the profoundconnotation of the textile intangible cultural heritage from allangles and various aspects, raise the sense of national identityand sense of responsibility for cultural inheritance, and activelyexpand the overall education, and protect the inheritance andinnovation based on their own professional skills. Andeventually realize the new concepts of educating people byculture, by literature and by technology with the sustainableintegration of education, inheritance and innovation. Itemphasizes that cooperation is a dynamic practice, whichinteracts with the changes of technology and tradition, interactswith the environment and needs, and constantly forms contentand forms that are compatible with humanity, so as to integrateinto modern life and reflect the continuous development ofculture. It enriches the education and basic theoretical research oftextile intangible cultural heritage. Combining the advantagesof "double first-class" specialty and disciplinary characteristics,on the basis of teaching practice, and based on EducationalScience Planning, National Art Fund, Tianjin PhilosophySociety Planning, Tianjin Science and Technology StrategyProject, Tianjin Science Project, etc, this paper makes aprofound study on the important bottleneck issues such aseducational inheritance concept, educational mode and dualsubject characteristics of textile intangible cultural heritage, and provides scientific basis for innovating for the inheritancemode of textile intangible cultural heritage education,This paper puts forward the teaching "three principles" oftextile intangible cultural heritage, that is, it has characteristics, stories and values. Characteristic shows the uniqueness, purityand aesthetics of textile intangible cultural heritage; storiesindicates that textile intangible cultural heritage is of a clearorigin, suitable for application and in line with the trend; valuesillustrates that textile intangible cultural heritage is reliable, real, beautiful and vivid.B. Create a New Platform for the Inheritance and Practice ofthe "Multi-integrated" Textile Intangible Cultural HeritageEducation in Colleges and UniversitiesRelying on the regional resource advantages of Beijing,Tianjin and Hebei, the government, universities, enterprises, and inheritors are gathered to create a new platform for theinheritance and practice of the "multi-integrated" textileintangible cultural heritage education in colleges anduniversities. Keeping the innovation of element combinationstrengthens the coherence, progressiveness and innovativenessin the theoretical and practical teaching.Tianjin Polytechnic University has established an industryuniversity-research alliance for textile intangible culturalheritage. Up to now, more than 40 enterprises engaged inintangible cultural heritage in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Gansuand Qinghai, and inheritors above provincial level have joinedthe alliance.Colleges and universities should appropriately introduceintangible heritage skills and cultural courses, and inviteinheritors at different level to provide traditional skills andculture with Chinese characteristics. By means of thepropaganda of the inheritors’ own examples, experientialteaching, field investigation, and the display of excellent works, colleges and universities cultivate contemporary collegestudents’ abilities to know the background, skills and judgmentfrom all aspects, three-dimensional, multi-angle and multidimension. Students need to know the background of culture, the skills of art, and the judgment of development.C. Face Dual Subjects, Focus on Double Classrooms andAchieving Dual GoalsBased on the current situation and characteristics of textileintangible cultural heritage, and relying on the regionaladvantages, a dual-subject education system has beenconstructed, which takes undergraduates and social technicalpractitioners of textile intangible cultural heritage as the mainbody. Taking the first classroom as the foundation, the secondclassroom as the extension of the horizon, and the synergisticinteraction of the theory and practice as the methods, collegesand universities can achieve the dual goals of enhancing thecultural confidence, and inheritance and innovation. To achieve the dual goals, colleges and universities mustadhere to the principle of "inherit the tradition, and not losingits roots", which requires the persistence of the cultural geneand spiritual essence of intangible cultural heritage, and keepsthe aspiration and pursuit for beauty in the intangible culturalheritage. To achieve the ability of "exploitation and utilizationinto the life", colleges and universities should keep improvingin the intangible cultural heritage, go deep into life in37

Advances in Social Science, Education and Humanities Research (ASSEHR), volume 340application, form a complete industrial chain in marketing, andcreate unique cultural values in transmission; To achieve thegoal of "open mind and butterfly effect", colleges anduniversities are supposed to foster a dynamic and creativegroup of inheritors, contribute to the inheritance ofdevelopment, and start a new path [5].Fig. 2. A New Platform for Educational Inheritance and PracticeIV.THE INNOVATION OF THE TEACHING RESEARCH ANDPRACTICE IN THE TEXTILE INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGEIt has achieved effective results and gradually formed itscharacteristic features by active innovation and practice:A. Put forward a New Thought of Talents Cultivation ThatCombines the Common Education and SpecializationEducation in the Textile Intangible Cultural HeritageEducationDepending on the resource advantages and practicalexploration of inheritance in professional colleges anduniversities, it innovatively and systematically integrates thetextile intangible cultural heritage education into the talentscultivation, and establishes the new concepts of "point - line face - body". Educational instruction and inheritance isoriented to the dual subjects, which are undergraduates andpractitioners of textile intangible cultural heritage. Through theorganic combination of teaching, research, inheritance andpractice, the dual goals of quality education construction andaccurate talents cultivation in the inheritance and innovationare achieved, which makes the lively intangible culturalheritage education the main channel to spread China’sexcellent traditional culture [6].B. Construct the New Inheritance Mode of "2242" in theTextile Intangible Cultural Heritage EducationRelying on the resource advantages and practicalfoundations, the new inheritance mode of "2242" has beeninnovatively constructed. It orients to the dual subjects(undergraduates and postgraduates inheritors), establishes thedouble classroom (theory practice), creates a new practicalplatform of "four-element integration" (government school enterprise inheritors), and achieves the dual goals (culturalconfidence inheritance and innovation).C. Establish the Double Classroom System of "Theory Practice" Based on Multidisciplinary IntegrationRelying on the discipline characteristics and the superiorityof the university, and depending on the theory of"multidisciplinary integration" in undergraduate teaching , thedouble classroom system of "theory practice" has beeninnovatively constructed, and a large teaching team composedof "university teachers intangible cultural heritage masters"in different fields and disciplines has been set up. It not onlyimproves the students' comprehensive grasp of the knowledgeand ability in the intangible cultural heritage, but also expandsthe knowledge of the talents cultivation in textile artsinnovation, and truly cultivates the complex type professionalswith the thinking of "love inheritance, across-integration, andbrave innovation", broaden the undergraduates' double creativeconsciousness and ability as well [7].D. Extend the Function of Educational Inheritance and BuildUp the First Textile Intangible Cultural Heritage ResearchCenter in Colleges and UniversitiesIt has built up the first textile intangible cultural heritageresearch center in China, which is located in colleges anduniversities and is open to students and society. The twentyfive national textile intangible cultural heritages, such as thetraditional weaving, embroidering, printing and dyeing, aredisplayed through LED, arc projection, "N-show" body imagematching system and other advanced means, which realizes theintegration of learning, research and innovation.38
