Each increase in percentage of inpatient RNs with BSNs results in an averagereduction of 2.12 deaths out of 1,000 patients. Length of hospital stay is shorter in facilities where nurses have at least a BSN.RN to BSN Program Community-based care is less expensive in settings where nurses hold a BSN.This upper-division nursing program for registered nurses preparesyou to assume more responsibility in patient-care delivery, publichealth, research, and policymaking. It includes online courses andtwo community-based, precepted, clinical experiences. If you are a currently licensed RN in New York, you’re exempt from the time limit onyour practice. You’re also exempt if you are enrolled in a nursing program in NewYork or had a nursing school acceptance pending in New York before the legislationwas signed. Nurses with a BSN are more satisfied with their jobs than nurses without one.Source: New York Organization of Nurse Executives and LeadersBachelor of Science in Allied HealthSUNY Empire’s Bachelor of Science in Allied Health is a flexible, affordableprogram for allied health professionals who hold an associate degree or diploma, and a license or certification in an allied health field.
