SubZero Plow System Safety Instructions For your safety and the safety of others, we have provided some basic safety instructions. We have also included safety stickers on the plow itself as a reminder. We recommend that you read and understand all safety instructions before operating the plow. It is not possible to warn you about all potential safety risks when using this plow. We suggest operating cautiously and using good judgment in addition to reading and understanding the following: SEVERE INJURY, DEATH, OR EQUIPMENT DAMAGE MAY RESULT IF SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT FOLLOWED. Read snowplow instructions, ATV operators manual, and safety decals before operating. Wear safety protection as recommended in ATV operators manual. When plowing snow or dirt into a pile, start backing up before raising the blade. Keep bystanders away from plow or ATV while plowing or stationary When blade is not in use, stop ATV engine, lock brakes, and lower blade to the ground. Do not exceed 5 MPH with blade installed. Operate with extreme caution on slopes, steep grades, and rough terrain. Do not allow riders on blade or ATV while moving or stationary Be aware of hidden objects under the snow as they may violently alter the speed and direction of the ATV. Assembly Instructions Thank you for purchasing the Tusk SubZero Plow System. Assembly instructions are not difficult but should be followed precisely and in order. Two people and proper tools will make the assembly go smoothly. Look at the illustration on page six to become familiar with the different components. Tools needed: 10mm allen wrench 14mm end wrench/socket 15mm end wrench/socket 18mm end wrench/socket 19mm end wrench/socket 24mm end wrench/socket pliers Page 1 of 6

Assembly: 1. Mount Push Pivot to ATV Push Tube Orient Push Pivot to Push Tube Using M16x40mm allen head bolt, insert from bottom up at front pivot—through push tube, through push pivot, through blade angle bracket, through washer, and into M16 nylock nut. Leave loose. Using M16x40mm allen bolt, insert from top down at rear of blade angle bracket--through washer, through blade angle bracket, through spacer, through push tube, through washer, and into M16 nylock nut. Tighten both bolts. The front pivot bolt needs to be tightened, then backed off ½ turn. 2. Attach blade to push pivot Install 4-way tilt stop by installing M10x30mm hex flange bolt--through 4-way tilt stop, through push pivot, through washer, and into M10 nylock nut. Repeat on the other side. Orient the stops the same on both sides. See “Adjustments” section for more information. Page 2 of 6

Orient blade to push pivot. Using M12x35mm hex flange bolt--insert through blade, through push pivot, through bushing, through washer, and into M12 nylock nut. Leave hand tight. Repeat on other side of the blade. IMPORTANT: The bolt needs to load the bushing and the blade, not the push pivot. Make sure the bushing is aligned and goes through push pivot. Tighten the bolts. Take care to keep the bushing aligned while tightening. Install eyebolts up through blade, through washer, and through 3/8 inch lock nut. Leave loose. Attach trip springs to push pivot and through eye bolts. It is important to install springs as shown. The lower hooks need to open towards the ground. Tighten eye bolts until the trip springs have a light tension. These do not need to be very tight. See “Adjustments” section below for more information. Install gravel skids, skid spacers, and washers through brackets on the blade and secure with a hairpin clip. See “Adjustments” section for more information. Page 3 of 6

3. Attach snow plow assembly to ATV Mount Tusk SubZero Snow Plow assembly to the Tusk Plow Mount Plate that has been previously mounted to the ATV. Slide the push tube under the ATV. Line up the mounting tabs with the plow mount bracket and insert the straight pin and hairpin clip. Attach winch cable to blade angle bracket with straight pin and hair pin. Position the pin and winch cable in the most vertical position. 4. Adjustments The 4 way tilt stop is adjustable. It can be adjusted by loosening the trip spring tension, removing the bolt holding the 4 way tilt stop and rotating it ¼ turn increments. Adjust it to your preferences. A steeper attack angle (top of plow moved forward) is better for ice and light snow. A shallow attack angle works better for deep snow (top of blade moved back). We have found that a moderate attack angle is good for all-around. Page 4 of 6

The trip spring tension is adjustable. Increase the tension and resulting force it takes to trip the blade by tightening the trip springs/eye bolts. We like to run the springs as loose as possible without tripping the blade during normal plowing. This will let the blade trip and transfer minimum impact to the machine. The winch lift pin is adjustable. Choose the pin location that does not interfere with the blade angle adjustment pin. The gravel skids are adjustable. You can adjust the height of the skids by placing more or less rubber spacers and washers between the skid bracket and the skid itself. Place the balance of spacers/washers on top of the bracket. The blade angle is 5-position adjustable. Adjust it by lifting the plow slightly off the ground, lifting up on the “L” shaped pin, disengaging push pivot from push tube, and rotating the blade to the desired sweep angle. Release the “L” shaped pin making sure the pin engages in the desired slot. Page 5 of 6

sembly, engage the flanges into the plow mount. Adjust the plow mounts side to side for best fit to flanges. The plow mounts should be straight with the ears of the flanges. When the plow mount fas-teners are tightened, the flange should be able to slide in the plow mounts easily. See figure 5. 6. With the push tube assembly in place, tighten all

The goal of the Tow Plow operator's course is to promote safe and proper operations and preventive maintenance practices with the Tow Plow. Introduction The Tow Plow is a trailer snow plow designed to tow behind a truck with a standard-mounted front plow. 6. Using the plow mount plate as a template, mark the bolt holes on the plastic skid plate. 7. Remove plow mount plate and drill clearance holes for bolts, using the marks made in step 6. 8. Place two of the M8 u-bolts near the center of the vehicle frame. 9. Place plow mount plate in place and insert the u-bolts through plow mount plate holes.

2. Slowly lower the Terracing Plow until the parking stands and Terracing plow are on a firm level surface. WARNING Before dismounting from the tractor shut off the engine, set the parking brake and remove the key. 3. Unpin the tractor lift arms from the Terracing Plow 4. he American Revolution simulation is designed to teach students about this important period of history by inviting them to relive that event . Over the course of five days, they will recreate some of the experiences of the people who were beginning a new nation . By taking the perspective of a historical character living through the event, students will begin to see that history is so much .
