Fall 2022 Dear MMI Parent/Family Member: On behalf of the Marion Military Institute (MMI) Foundation and Alumni Brigade, MMI’s Office of Institutional Advancement welcomes you to the MMI Family. We understand that the first day of college is not only a significant day for MMI cadets but for MMI parents as well. MMI is unique for many reasons, one of which is the amount of support the college receives from our very own foundation and alumni association. These two philanthropic organizations have provided substantial funding support for many years, as described below: 1. The MMI Foundation is a nonprofit organization that raises funds to support MMI’s educational mission and to improve the cadet learning environment and quality of life. Over the past 10 years, the Foundation’s efforts have provided the following: Over 15 million in cash and pledges for capital and program improvements Over 8.7 million in total asset management and investment Over 1 million in college scholarships Management of 44 endowed funds 2. The Alumni Brigade is also a nonprofit organization that supports MMI by fostering and expanding active involvement and support among alumni, parents, family, and friends. Over the past 10 years, the Brigade has: Increased active alumni and parent participation by 120 percent Hosted over 850 attendees at over 10 events each year Provided over 350,000 in donations for campus projects Parent and family support is vital to both the Foundation and Brigade. We hope you support these efforts that are all aimed at improving the education and experience your cadet will receive while at MMI.
