SECURITY CAREER FIELD 1 Are you ready for a career in Security? From police operations to security requirements management, officers in the Security Career Field are the first line of defense for our Agency’s people, locations and sensitive information. As an officer in this specialty, you will take on challenging assignments around the world and serve the Nation by performing critical countermeasure, investigative and law enforcement services. Employing your functional expertise, you will make impactful, tough decisions to keep our Agency secure. DIA needs strong team players who exhibit the integrity and fortitude to present difficult findings to senior leadership. 2 SECURITY CAREER FIELD Security Specialties Credibility Assessment Be a part of the team that skillfully executes polygraph examinations in a wide array of domains, from new employment screening to specific issues and operations. You will also conduct quality assurance inspections, and oversee policy and procedures for Federal credibility assessment programs. ABOVE: A credibility assessment special agent conducts a periodic counterintelligence-scope screening examination on a DIA employee. Criminal Investigator Credentialed as special agents, officers in this specialty perform a full range of investigations to thwart insider threats, review criminal matters and provide support to physical security and force protection across the DIA global enterprise. Serve on our team in one of these positions: Criminal Investigator. Special Agent. LEFT: Criminal investigator special agents conduct welfare checks to ensure the well-being of our global workforce.

SECURITY CAREER FIELD 3 Global Security This is one of the most physically and mentally demanding careers at DIA. Officers in this specialty provide force protection services and crisis assessments in high-threat environments to enable our worldwide collection mission. Employing your technical expertise, sound judgment and tradecraft knowledge, you will plan and execute special operations in defense of the Nation. Serve on our team in one of these positions: Combat Medic. Mission Support Chief. Training Lead. Survey Operations Specialist. Insider Threat Join this emergent career specialty and leverage your unique professional expertise to deter, detect and mitigate risks posed by trusted insiders. As a counter-insider threat officer, you will be entrusted with the broadest access to highly sensitive data across our global enterprise and utilize cutting-edge technology to manage security vulnerabilities from identification to resolution. Serve on our team as an officer specializing in one of these functional areas: Case Management. Detection. Technical Analysis. As a member of the uniformed police force, you will engage in various protective functions, such as hazardous materials response activities, antiterrorism assessments, and special response team operations. Serve on our team as a police officer specializing in one of these functional areas: ABOVE: A DIA police officer receives special recognition for performance above and beyond his normal duties. Security Specialist As an officer in this specialty, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of security activities affecting not only DIA but the entire Department of Defense. From developing policies for sensitive compartmented information facilities and adjudicating access eligibility to supporting the Defense Attaché Service in more than 140 countries worldwide, you will enable DIA mission success.
